Kanade was in Australia working as a lash artist and decided she would like to try living in New Zealand. She came across the Lady Lash instagram profile and thought to herself, “now that’s a place I would like to work”. She bravely sent an e mail to me that went unread (woops) but she didn’t give up, sending a second e mail that I finally opened and read. She explained she has just moved to NZ and would like to work at Lady Lash as a lash artist. I didn’t have any room at the time she got in touch, but as fate has it, a spot opened up and I got her in to show me her skills. I was impressed with what I saw, so we taught Kanade how to do lash lifts and brows, a skill she mastered with ease! By the next week Kanade became a fully fledged lash and brow artist under the Lady Lash brand, gathering a loyal following from her clients. Choosing to work 6 days a week, Kanade was dedicated to the lash life and making people feel their very best. I am so grateful I opened that e mail, and I am so grateful she found us.

Kanade is heading back home to Japan as her working visa comes to an end, and we will miss her so much! Her calm presence will be something I will always cherish.
