Five reasons new parents put beef fat on their newborns.

With the revival of old ways, returning to ancient practices that our great grandmothers would have been familiar with, is now trending... But here's why many think it's here to stay.

1. Beef fat.. yes the fat from cows, well known today as Tallow, can be made by anyone at home who wants to take their families health seriously. Those wanting a low-tox household have probably considered switching to just Tallow.
The natural fat requires very little tampering during its production, & has a shelf life of up to one year when made right, meaning no preservatives or chemicals are entering your babies' bloodstream via their delicate skin.

2. Tallow has naturally occurring stearic acid, & is a fantastic breathable barrier-repairing layer, making it a top choice for an alternative nappy rash cream, & skin salve for any needed occasion.

3. Tallow has a molecular structure that mimics our oils we make in our skin structures. (Sebum) meaning tallow is non comedogenic it will not clog pores but it will deep dive into the skin structure, delivering a truly deep & nourishing hydration. & issues like eczema can be alleviated when surrounding the skin cells with the calming comfortable environment of tallow.

4. Not only is there a fatty acid profile to protect & nourish the skin, but also the vitamin complex A, D, E, K, in tallow is highly bio-available. Tallow has always been utilized in soaps, cosmetics such as lipsticks & skincare. & utilizing a bi-product means harvesting the suet to make Tallow, is being more ethical than allowing it to go to waste. It's important to note that food grade tallow is very different to cosmetic grade tallow, and not all cosmetic grade tallows are made the same. Food grade tallow needs to be regulated differently & is usually bleached & heated to high tempatures in large batches. And some food & cosmetic tallow contains all parts of fat not just the highly prized suet.
