Meet Lee Mason - usually seen thrashing his fan-favourite Hillman Imp, but this year he's bringing something very different!

Lee's no stranger to the podium at Coronet Peak and has collected class wins at Cromwell and Christchurch Street Sprints. His love for this event is clear: "Always love this event, it's a thrill ripping up that hill!"

The New Weapon: A Mazda MK2 Es**rt body hiding a screaming rotary heart! Under the bonnet sits a 13B semi-PP turbo with Garrett turbo making 500hp+, connected to a T5 close-ratio gearbox, Atlas diff, and floating hubs. This thing is an absolute riot!
From beloved Imp to rotary-powered Es**rt - Lee's mixing it up this year!

His Goal: "Getting to the summit quicker than before and catching up with good buggers again" - that's what it's all about!
