You are radiant. You are powerful. You are unstoppable 💖.

Clinical Hypnotherapy can help women relax, gain control over hot flushes, sleep better and be less stressed. All of which help manage the effects of Menopause.
My amazing friend Charlotte is running group sessions here in Feilding on Sundays to introduce you to clinical hypnotherapy. If you haven't tried it before and want to know what this powerful therapy is all about, book one of the sessions below - you'll love it!

BE LIKE ROB!
Our partners generally do not know anything about Menopause.
In the past year, I have spoken to 100s of women about Menopause and continue my quest to help them understand what is going on in their brain and bodies during this stage of life.
The feedback I get time and time again, is that women wish their husband/partner/everyone could also have this information, so they could be more understanding, empathetic and supportive.
When canvassing men across all ages, many are uncomfortable about the topic. They want to know more, they want to be more supportive, but they don't know how.
My friend Rob attended one of my talks last year as a photographer/videographer. He said the information 'blew his mind'. He also said 'why didn't I know about this?' and 'every man needs to know this information'.
So - BE LIKE ROB!
Come to my online presentation on Wednesday 28th August at 6pm or watch the recording on what is going on in Menopause and how to provide support. This is for anyone who wants to understand Menopause and/or support the women in their life during what can be an unpredictable and difficult time, lasting 4-15 years. You might also want to attend as a woman, if you haven't been able to attend my recent talks!
Tickets are $25 at

Do the People in Your Life Understand Menopause?
One of the most common requests I hear during my talks is:
"Can you please explain menopause to my partner, daughter, friend, or boss? They need to know this!"
Whether it's pre-menopause, peri-menopause, or post-menopause, it’s crucial that the people around us understand what our bodies and minds go through during this period, which can last anywhere from 4 to 15+ years.
Are they aware that menopause involves far more than just hot flushes? Do they know that symptoms can begin in our early 40s, or even younger, and that many of these symptoms are invisible but impactful? Do they understand how menopause can make us feel and how they can support us during this unpredictable and often challenging time?
I invite you to join me, along with your partner, family, friends, or colleagues, on Wednesday, August 28th, at 6 PM NZST (New Zealand Standard Time) for an ONLINE PRESENTATION via Zoom on how to support the women in your life as they navigate this significant transition.
Let's make menopause as commonly understood as puberty and pregnancy. While menopause directly affects 51% of the population, its impact touches everyone.
Tickets are NZ$25 and can be purchased at www.aimeeperrettcoaching.com/menopause. If you can't attend the live event, the presentation will be recorded and sent to you the following day.

In recent workshops, I've emphasised the importance of including 2-3 strength sessions per week 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
During peri/menopause, we lose significant muscle and bone due to declining oestrogen levels. While bone loss is silent, muscle and strength loss are very noticeable. 😬
About six months ago, I realised my strength was fading when lifting the jug felt unusually heavy. It made me question how everyday tasks would feel as I aged -how would a full jug of water feel when I was 80? 😳
Despite always including bodyweight and weight exercises in my training, I wasn't effectively building let alone conserving muscle. Research shows that consistent strength training can prevent and even reverse muscle loss, which typically starts after age 30 - yes, 30! 🥹
To improve our strength during peri/menopause, we need to adjust our exercise routine based on our current fitness levels. Whether you're new to strength/bodyweight training or a seasoned athlete, it's crucial to focus on muscle maintenance and growth - this will in turn help our bone health 🦴
I've compiled a list of resources from knowledgeable local and virtual providers to help you get started. To build muscle, we need to apply the principle of 'progressive overload' by gradually increasing the stress on muscle groups through additional weight or reps each week 📋
Having a clear plan is key. If you'd like the list of strength training resources, or need guidance, either comment below, DM me or email me at hello@aimeeperrettcoaching,com. I would love to help you! 💜

It's wonderful to see the seats filling up for the Menopause Mana talk on Tuesday - thank you!
Over half of New Zealand's population experiences menopause, yet awareness remains limited.
Imagine if we could increase public education and awareness about menopause, remove the stigma, and make it a natural part of everyday conversations! 🥳
Wouldn't it be fantastic to discuss menopause openly and comfortably, ensuring no woman has to go through it alone?
For this, I need your help! If everyone who attends my talks could teach someone else, who then teaches another person ... just think of what we could achieve together! 🤩

When it comes to health and happiness during and beyond the menopause transition, we often hear about nutrition, exercise, sleep, and stress management. All of these are undoubtedly important. However, one of the most powerful predictors of our wellbeing at any age - and how well we age - is our sense of community, relationships, and belonging. This is something many women in midlife and menopause feel they are missing.
Research shows that menopausal women with a social network tend to have a more positive outlook on menopause and are less likely to experience depression. Those who engage in formal social groups are more likely to be physically active and experience less severe menopausal and depressive symptoms.
So, wherever you are in your life, challenge yourself today to connect or reconnect with someone to create experiences or memories - this could be someone who's been on your mind, a family member, an old friend, an online group, or a course you've been considering.
As for menopause itself, what it is, the stages, the symptoms, how we choose to look at it and what we can do to support it ... you've guessed it 😜, come to my Menopause Mana talk on the 9th July. I'd love to see you there!
Click here www.aimeeperrettcoaching.com/menopausemana for tickets and more info.

I am passionate about empowering women through the menopause journey, whether they are approaching this life stage or are already navigating its challenges and wondering what's happening.
To feel empowered, women need to be informed and listened to. Their voices should be heard, and their menopause experiences acknowledged and validated. They also need hope and the tools to make this stage of life a positive and transformative experience. As a woman going through menopause myself, I understand this deeply.
Join me on July 9th at the Feilding Golf Club for my talk "Menopause Mana - Find your Power". You will learn about what happens during menopause, the different stages and symptoms, how to manage and thrive through it, and discover the latest research findings, including how menopause changes the brain.
I look forward to seeing you there!

With an intense fear of open water since childhood, I never swam past the shallows. But 12 years ago, I decided to face this fear by participating in a swimming event in Wellington Harbour. Since then, I’ve swum in many different oceans and lakes.
However, the fear of encountering a shark still lingered in my mind. Two weeks ago, I intentionally put myself among a group of sharks to confront this fear. After the initial terror, it felt incredibly liberating!
Building resilience to stress and scary situations involves facing our fears. Learn more about stress, how to manage it better, and become more stress-resilient at my next talk on Tuesday, June 11th, at 6:30 PM at the Feilding Golf Club.
It’s been amazing to see so many people returning to these talks! I am so grateful. See you there! 🤩

Our menopause experience can be challenging, and chronic stress can make it even harder.
Extra cortisol from stress can further disrupt the already imbalanced levels of estrogen and progesterone during menopause. This can intensify hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, and sleep disturbances, leading to insomnia and fragmented nights.
Stress can heighten existing menopausal anxiety and depression, weaken the immune system, increase physical aches, and raise the risk of cardiovascular issues.
Additionally, stress can lead to unhealthy lifestyle choices, such as poor diet and reduced exercise, further aggravating symptoms.
The menopause transition is hard enough - we don't need to make it any harder!
Join me on Tuesday, June 11th, at the Feilding Golf Club for a presentation on "How to Handle Stress and Live More."
I am opening this talk to everyone, as stress affects us all. Learning how to manage stress, experience more positive stress, and live more fully at any stage of life is crucial in our current world. I would love to see as many of you as possible, so please join me and share this post if you can. Thank you so much! 🙏🏼

We need stress in our lives! SAY WHAT?? 🤨
My recent shark encounter (maximum stress!) left me feeling invincible, though the sensation only lasted about 30 minutes. Like most people, I have a fear of sharks, so being in the water with them, mere centimeters away, made me feel like Superwoman 🦸🏻♀️.
We know that a certain amount of stress can enhance our performance, resilience, brain function, and motivation levels 💪🏼. However, balance is crucial – too much stress can damage our health by placing demands on our body and mind that exceed our capacity to cope ⚖️.
How do we know when stress becomes too much?
What can help prevent excessive stress?
How can we escape a state of acute or chronic stress?
Is it really possible to manage stress effectively?
Which stages of life tend to produce the most stress? (Take a guess!😉)
Join me at the Feilding Golf Club on June 11th for answers and an in-depth exploration of stress like you’ve never heard before!
I recently had an exhilarating experience swimming among sharks
🦈.
While they weren't giants, a school of around ten black-tipped reef sharks created quite a buzz near the boat.
Entering the water, I felt a surge of adrenaline. My heart raced as I carefully descended the ladder into the crystal-clear turquoise depths.
In moments like these, our bodies instinctively gear up for action, a primal response to perceived danger. It's a survival mechanism, temporarily boosting our energy and focus to ensure our safety and survival. Once the immediate threat passes, we return to a state of equilibrium, celebrating our survival.
Yet, when stress becomes a constant companion, like swimming with sharks day and night without respite, our bodies struggle to cope. Sleep eludes us as our mind remains alert, convinced we're not safe enough to rest. We rely on stimulants like coffee to stay awake, perpetuating a cycle of chronic stress and compromised health, especially during life stages such as menopause when sleep is already challenged.
Fortunately, there's much we can do to befriend stress, taking control of our reactions and thriving despite challenges.
Join me at the Feilding Golf Club on Tuesday June 11th 630pm for "How to Handle Stress and Live More." This seminar is designed for anyone seeking to understand stress better and learn effective management strategies. It could be the key to transforming your life!
Aimée Perrett Coaching Finding a way forward when we are stuck can be scary. Let me guide you to find your very own way forward.

What an awesome turnout at the Feilding Golf Club last night for my talk 'Sleep in the peri/menopause'😴.
Thank you for being such a lovely audience 🙌🏼 - despite talking about multiple ways to sleep better, you all stayed awake (I think) 😂.
I'll get back to you individually regarding the interesting questions at the end 🤓.
Look out for the next talk, also at the Golf Club on 11th June!

Sleep is so fascinating 🤓
Did you know that we cycle through 4 stages of sleep through the night. Stage 3 is our deepest sleep - most of it happens in the first half the night, when we are most likely to sleepwalk and crucially when our body restores and heals itself. Getting enough stage 3 sleep makes you feel refreshed the next day 💃.
In Menopause, fluctuating/decreasing levels of oestrogen can lead to less deep sleep, even if we are getting our 7-8 hours. Also, if we are up late because we can't sleep or just want some much needed me-time, that will also compromise our deep sleep. All in all, we can wake up sore, groggy, forgetful, tired and unmotivated the next day. But we can change that!! 💪🏼
There is still time to book seats to my talk on sleep during the menopause transition at the Feilding Golf Club on 14th May @6:30pm, whether you are just starting to feel the very first changes or you are well into post-menopause! 🙌🏼
I also love all of you who are still nowhere near this stage of life but are looking for more information and strategies towards a better preparation - now that is Mana! 🤩
