It’s like you turn up for work and your boss says oh we don’t need you at the moment, can you come back in a couple of hours, and because you aren’t needed we aren’t paying you either. PRICING CHANGES: from 1 July there will be a change to my pricing when you book an appointment. First you will need to pick the gel polish manicure service, then you will need to pick your add on ie. builder gel, glitter, French….. My standard service will no longer include builder gel or art.

As a bit of back ground, nail techs are some of the most under paid in the beauty industry. My prices are currently on par with mall salons, however some of my services are two hours long, my setting is unique, you get to park right outside the door, I’m constantly training and bringing in new products to the salon. And for all that I’ve been paying myself below minimum wage! I haven’t raised my prices for two years now, and we all know that everything in NZ has increased ten fold in the last few years. I understand my pricing change will affect how often some of you have your nails done, or perhaps it’s outside of your budget. Please send me a message if you need to change any of your upcoming appointments 💅 😊

PLEASE READ: I use a booking system called Fresha. Slowly Fresha is introducing new fees. The one that hits me the most is the ‘New Client’ fee. Fresha charges me this fee if you search for my salon in their app and book an appointment. Today I was lucky enough to have a heat pump fitted in the Salon! .electrical.feilding have blown it out the park with this install. It took them less than 2 hours, lovely guys and really professional service.
