The Sauna Project Tairāwhiti

Spring is here 🌿 and we’re updating our sauna hours.

From next week (5th Sept), you’ll find us with a few more daytime hours to make it easier to fit a sauna into your week.

One little change: Sunday 11th October is Tatapouri Bay Yoga Day, so sauna hours in the second half of the day will be 1pm–7pm instead.

The Tata cafe will be opening on Sundays too 😍

Sundays creeping in fast… and so is daylight savings !

Make sure you book your sauna in. Remember daylight savings kicks in tomorrow morning. So that means sunset will be right after the silent session 😍 still spots available

This post is a shoutout to our unique sauna location Tatapouri Bay . We feel so blessed that arriving to work feels like being on a holiday getaway, and we are sure our customers feel that way too.

The team at Tatapouri is in full support of our kaupapa, as we are theirs. If you haven’t heard already they are running a ‘Yoga Day’ full day timetable with so many amazing offerings like yoga, sound healing, massage, reiki, new moon ceremony + more and ofcourse all day sauna too!

Sauna sessions on 11th will be offered at a discounted rate for anyone who purchases any of the individual session tickets for yoga day. That’s right, you can come just for one session on yoga day + a discounted sauna if you like, or book in for multiple of the wonderful sessions.

The cafe will also be open so bring the whānau and come enjoy a day by the sea with community.

Choosing the essential oils for each sauna session is one of our favourite parts of what we do 🌿

We love creating different blends to suit the mood. Will today be refreshing or grounding? Maybe uplifting? Or a complete experimentation!

The oils meet the rocks and it brings another layer to the sensory experience 😶‍🌫️☺️

A little bit of scent can change the whole feeling of a session, and that’s why we love it so much.
