After facilitating over 1200 Hapuu Waananga over central Aotearoa, and connecting with thousands of whaanau, I have decided to move on/resign from working in the community and challenge myself in a new role.

I want to let all the women, men, grandparents, friends and babies know that it has been an absolute honour to share such an intimate time with you during the pregnancy and arrival of your baby.

I have met so many awesome people, been challenged to my utter limits at times, wanted to do a haka at some folk while loving others 🤣 and learnt about myself as a woman but as I sit here and reflect, I am grateful beyond words. Love you guys # # #

I am moving to ACC where I will be the Relationship Manager in Maaori Health for Birth Injury where I promise the voice of the community will be heard.

I have one more antenatal wananga till i move on in Tokoroa in a couple of weeks, requested by the community, and I encourage you to come along if you and your whaanau are hapu. Love to you all. # # #

Rongoa & Mirimiri waananga is a 2hour wānanga, This Friday 14th of October 10am Richmond Plunket office. We will be making Rongoa and learning some Mirimiri (massage) techniques for yourself and your pepi.
We are looking forward to having you attend and learn these beautiful traditional practises to incorporate in your birthing and parenting journey.
