Kia Ora e te whānau, I am so excited to announce a new beginning. On this page I will be sharing my journey as a Makeup Artist I also have a instagram page under the same name if you prefer instagram.

Ko Tirama tōku ingoa! Hi my name is Tirama and I’m from the East Coast, I grew up here in Hamilton all my life and I’m one of ten siblings. 2021 was life changing for me I got myself into an serious accident leaving me paralysed from the chest down. After repeatedly being told I wouldn’t be able to walk again.. I did🤭 I don’t know why but I knew that I would be able to walk again. Three months in rehabilitation and I was out! My main focus was to “snap back” and with the help and support of my family, physiotherapist, rongoā sessions, Heavenly Father and my support worker who is also my sister Teniqua I am able to do just that! I studied nursing last year in 2022 and loved it however, I caught Covid for the 2nd time and it put me out for a whole month. I was behind in mahi and Shortly after I decided to leave it for now and focus on me which turned out to be one of the best ideas I ever made.

I grew passionate for makeup and perused my time and focus into a makeup + skin care course at the beginning of 2021 (8 months before my accident) and quickly after fell in love😍 I’m so thankful to have makeup to fall back on when studies didn’t work out as planned but because of that it had opened up a new door and direction for me. With a little push by Teniqua telling me to just do it knowing I have the education and skills to do makeup was enough. I’m here now pursuing the passion I didn’t have the confidence to do🥰

My idea is Make-up Artistry which is open to everyone! I not only want to do makeup within the circle of people I know or who would be interested but for the community of paraplegic. In hospital, makeup made me feel a sense of normality, no matter how bad of a condition I was in, makeup made me feel and look great. In this space I want to achieve making others feel confident and beautiful no matter what the occasion is. A Makeup Artist I follow named Debbie once said “Everyone is beautiful in there own special way, makeup is not only to hide your flaws but to enhance your natural beauty”. Debbie’s highest accomplishment is to see the boost of confidence on her clients faces after their first glance in the mirror, and I want to do just that.
