A LITTLE MIHI… BEFORE I CARRY ON ACTING LIKE I KNOW WHAT THE HELL I’M DOING 😂🔥

To everyone who has been part of this kaupapa in some way — whether you’ve jumped in, followed along, watched, liked, commented, shared, encouraged me, checked in, laughed at me 😂 or just been quietly watching from the bushes…

I SEE YOUSSSS 👀😂❤️

And honestly… THANK YOU.

Your support has NOT gone unnoticed. Not even a little bit.

I knowwwww I’ve been a bit slack with the content lately 😂😂😂
BUT LISTEN… the camera might be quiet, but THE MAHI AIN’T.

I’m still out here doing the damn thing.

Somewhere along the way I really looked at myself and said:

“Yeah, let’s do 40 days and 40km.”

WHO THE HELL LET ME DO THIS?! 😂😂😂

And now I’m sitting here like…

16 DAYS LEFT?! 😳

EXCUSE ME?!
WHEN DID THAT HAPPEN?!

The final date is LOCKED 🔒
The wero map has been sent 🗺️🔥
And I’ll share that with you all sometime before the end of this week.

Because apparently we’re actually doing this s**t. 😂

This kaupapa has become way more than just clocking up kilometres. It’s been about getting my ass moving, challenging my tinana, pushing past the “nahhh I can’t be bothered” days, doing s**t that had me questioning my own decisions 😂 and proving to MYSELF that I’m capable of more than I sometimes give myself credit for.

There’s been sweat.
There’s been laughs.
There’s been sore everything.
There’s been questionable decisions.
There’s been “WHAT THE F**K AM I DOING?” moments. 😂

But there’s also been PROGRESS.

And that’s the bit I’m holding onto.

So to EVERYONE who has taken part, followed, watched, encouraged, shared, checked in, supported, or even just given me a silent little “GO MIQZ” from wherever the hell you are…

NGĀ MIHI NUI ❤️🙏🏽

I SEE YOUS.
I APPRECIATE YOUS.
I AM BLOODY GRATEFUL FOR YOUS.

Now…

16 DAYS.

SIXTEEN.

DAYS.

WHO THE HELL LET ME GET THIS CLOSE?! 😂😭🔥

But we’re here now…

SO F**K IT — WE FINISH WHAT WE STARTED.

40DAYZ TO 40KMZ.

THE MAHI CONTINUES. 🫡🔥

Day ?? | 40dayz 2 40kmz

All the waiting for WHAT?! 😂😂
Honestly at this point, I don’t even know what day I’m on…

All I know is 24TH OCTOBER = 40KMZ WALK DAY 😭🔥

So here’s my reel from Monday hahaha because apparently I’m a vlogger now too 🤣🎥

Got myself stepped OUT at Hiphop Xtreme Step with The Henryz and DAMNNNNN 🔥🔥🔥

Now they called this a BEGINNERS CLASS…

BEGINNERS WHERE?! 😭😂

Because the amount of sweat I was shedding, you would’ve thought someone had turned the sprinklers on INSIDE the studio! 💦💦💦

Left that class with my legs questioning every life decision that brought me there 😂

Like…

“Why are we here?”
“Who signed us up for this?”
“Was walking 40km really necessary?”
“Can we just go home now?” 😭🤣

So Tuesday = REST DAY.

And when I say rest, I mean my legs filed an official complaint and I respected the paperwork. 😂😂

Because after that step class I felt like I’d run a marathon…

🤣

Now it’s Wednesday…

Do I know what I’m doing?

Absolutely fu***ng not. 😂

Am I still doing it?

YUP.

Shoes on. Body confused. Legs questionable.
Mauri still loading…

But we move! 😂🔥

40dayz 2 40kmz
Not a race. Not perfect. Not even sure what day it is half the time 😂

Just me, figuring this s**t out as I go…

24 OCTOBER — WE WALK.
Somebody remind me when we get there because clearly I’ve got one brain cell left 😂😂😂

Day 11 — 40dayz 2 40kmz 🏃🏽‍♀️🔥

Flaxmere Skate Park with our beautiful whānau today… and of course the scooters came OUT! 🛴😂

Next minute I’ve got Nan n Papa putting their fitness progression to the test too 😂😂 Woooohhh… look at us! Who said exercise had to be boring?! 🤣

Lowkey though… the fitness levels are loadingggg! 📈😂

I screen-recorded the Health app from today and got a mean little boost seeing those results! Steps were up and I was nearly hitting that 2kmz 👊🏽🔥

Now I know some might look at nearly 2km and think “that’s it?” 😂 But nahhh… I know where I started! And that’s what matters.

Little by little… more movement, more steps, better fitness, body getting used to the mahi and me slowly pushing what I thought I could do.

Today’s workout was basically chasing mokos around a skate park 😂😂😂

I’ll take it! 🫡

40dayz 2 40kmz — still ticking along, still showing up, still moving this b***y! 🍑😂🔥

Your pace. Your way. No pressure.
Just get up and MOVE!

👀 WAIT… DID I ACTUALLY GET MOVING TONIGHT?! 😏🔥

40DAYZ 2 40KMZ 🏃🏽‍♀️

Not gonna lie… it wasn’t about smashing KMZ tonight… 👌🏽
BUT I GOT MOVING. 💪🏽🔥

And there’s a little plot twist in the latest vlog… 🫣👀

I’M NOT TELLING YA — GO WATCH IT! 😂🎥

P.S. Yes, it’s late lol 🤣 I was at the gym earlier… this post just took its sweet time.

No matter how little or how much — movement is movement.
Just get up. Get moving. Keep showing up.

40 days. 40km. Your pace. Your kaupapa. 🔥

Day 8 — Back to mahi

Mondayyy… back to mahi 😮‍💨

Today wasn’t really about the KMz for me, it was more about aligning my wairua with my physical.

At mahi we had a pōwhiri, and being a cultural rep and having the opportunity to be part of these kaupapa always takes me to another realm of myself.

There’s something about standing in that space… knowing I’m not standing there just for me, but in connection with my tūpuna, my whakapapa and where I come from.

Welcoming new people into our mahi team and into our space, and being able to represent our culture in that way is something I really love about my mahi.

It’s a taonga being able to share the gifts that have been gifted to me. ❤️

And what I notice is that the connection isn’t just wairua… I feel it physically too.

Standing tall.
Standing with pride.
Feeling strong in myself.

It does something to me.

It reminds me of my inner strength, my mana, and the things that sit within me that sometimes I forget are there.

And I guess that’s the reflection I’m taking from today…

When I think about this 40 Dayz wero and the challenges I’ve put in front of myself, I know there’s going to be days where it’s hard, where I don’t feel like it, or where the KMz just don’t happen the way I planned.

But being in that pōwhiri today reminded me that I have more in me than I sometimes give myself credit for.

That strength is already there.

I just gotta tap back into it. 🔥

────────

Day 9 — Another day, another kaupapa ❤️

Day 9 was kinda similar, but in a completely different space.

Today I was able to represent at a tangihanga, and again it brought me back to that feeling of connection.

Being able to stand in those spaces, support the kaupapa and represent where I come from is something I don’t take lightly.

A tangihanga brings a different kind of wairua. It makes you slow down, reflect and remember what actually matters.

Whānau.
Whakapapa.
Connection.
Our people.

And again, I felt that same strength physically — standing there, being present, doing what needed to be done and knowing I was carrying more than just myself.

These kaupapa remind me that the gifts I’ve been given aren’t just for me.

They’re there to be shared, to support others and to serve the kaupapa.

And funny enough, I think that connects back into my 40 Dayz wero too.

This journey isn’t just about getting fitter or clocking KMz.

It’s also about reconnecting with myself, finding that inner strength and remembering what drives me.

Some days that’ll look like smashing out the KMz.

Other days it might look like standing strong for others.

It’s all mahi.

Day 9 done.
KMz or no KMz… we keep moving forward. 🔥

40 Dayz. 40KMz.

One day at a time. One step at a time. One kaupapa at a time.

Day 6 & 7 | 40 Dayz 2 40KMz 🔥

Weekend mahi looked a lil different 👀😂

Sometimes the mahi is REST 😮‍💨

Was still moving, but definitely at MINIMUM 😂🏉 Had some rugby league watchn, played with my moko, chilled out and just enjoyed being present.

Then came Ladies Night with my bestie & fams 💃🏽😂
Nowwwww this was a lil outta my comfort zone lol… BUT I stepped out anyway!

Add a lil retail therapy into the mix 🛍️😂 and actually had such a mean time. Especially getting to spend some quality time with my bestie — been wayyy too long! ❤️

Then Sunday rolled in with that good ol’ sunshine ☀️ and we were off to Haumoana 🌊

Beach ✔️
Farmyard ✔️
Zoo ✔️
Moko adventures ✔️
Quality time ✔️
Good vibes ✔️

Honestly, being able to watch my moko explore, discover new things, experience new places and just have fun with her nanny… that’s the real mahi right there. ❤️🥹

Sometimes the biggest gains ain’t measured in KMz.

Sometimes it’s the laughs.
The memories.
The connection.
The whānau time.
The moments you don’t wanna rush. 🫶🏽

Sooooo… what did the KMz look like?

Weekend total: 4KM / 40KM 😂🤷🏽‍♀️

Cardio definitely said “nah sis, not this weekend” 💀😂

But… 4 is better than 0!

And that’s the whole point of this wero — it ain’t a race, it ain’t about smashing yourself every single day, and it definitely ain’t about feeling guilty when life gets busy.

You move. You rest. You reset. Then you go again.

40 Dayz. 40KMz.

We keep chipping away…
one KMz, one day, one choice at a time. 🔥

Nowww let’s see what this week brings 👀

LETS GET ITTTT 🏃🏽‍♀️🔥

27/08/2026

DAY 4 — 40 DAYZ 2 40KMZ 🔥

A little reflection on last night’s showcase and my attempt at getting a bit more kōrero into the vlog 😂🎥

Managed to catch my warm-up… but completely forgot the mic was clipped to my jersey 🤦🏽‍♀️😂
One pull later… mic gone, audio gone! 💀😂

Still learning this vlog game — rookie mistakes and all! 🎬🤣

No extra kmz clocked tonight, BUT the upper-body strength training got done! 💪🏽🔥

And honestly, I was tired as… but I still showed up and got the mahi done.

Not every day is about chasing kilometres.
Some days it’s about putting in the work, even when the tank is running low.

Day 4 ✔️ Upper strength ✔️ Mahi done ✔️

We keep moving. 🔥

🔥 DAY 3 — 40 DAYZ TO 40KMZ 🌺🔥

Today came with something a little different… culture, love & a fired-up mauri within. ❤️‍🔥

Embracing culture, kai and whānau, while celebrating our Cook Islands community and our people. 🌺🌴

And somehow… I ended up working up a proper sweat through a Hula dance-off! 😂🔥

Who knew the hula could have you breathing like that?! 😮‍💨🤣

But honestly, today felt different.

That feeling of connection.
That feeling of culture.
That feeling of being surrounded by whānau, laughter and love.

I felt a fire within — and it felt way more meaningful than any of the other feelings I’ve had through this journey so far.

The kilometres might not always come from running, biking or walking…

Sometimes the 40kmz come through movement, culture, connection and simply showing up. ❤️‍🔥

Day 3 — clocked in through culture. 🌺🔥
