Brianna McNaught - Institute of Quarrying 03/02/2026

We’re incredibly proud to see Brianna McNaught featured in the Women in Quarrying Spotlight and even prouder to have her on our team.

A 4th generation quarry woman, Brianna grew up around the industry and has built hands on experience across Hawke’s Bay and Palmerston North. With her B Grade Certificate completed and her sights set on A Grade and future leadership roles, her drive to keep learning and take every opportunity is inspiring.

Brianna represents the determination, resilience and passion that helps move our industry forward — and we’re excited to support her journey.

Friday doesn’t always mean the end of the working week here at Tupore, but it does often mean firing up the BBQ!

Our team has worked tirelessly through the Christmas break to do what’s needed to get our new asphalt plant across the line and we couldn’t be more grateful for the effort, long hours and commitment they’ve shown.

So taking a moment to feed just some of our hard working crew, break in their BBQ and spend a Friday together felt like the perfect way to say thanks. Great people, comfort food,
and another big step forward for the business

From concept to construction, here’s a look at how our Aropaoanui River Crossing Culvert project is shaping up for our client FMNZ.

This job has involved a full scope of river crossing works, including site preparation, excavation, culvert installation, backfilling, compaction and ongoing shaping to ensure stability, flow efficiency, and long term durability. Careful planning and precision have been key to managing water flow while maintaining environmental and safety standards throughout the process.

It’s always rewarding to see a project evolve stage by stage and we’re proud of how this crossing is coming together.

First day back each year at Tupore is always our Build the Team Day. A chance to reset, reconnect and set the tone for the year ahead.

This morning we kicked off 2026 together the best way we know how with all hands on deck, breakfast at the yard, team connection and conversations that matter.

A huge thank you to Mates4Life for not only putting on an absolutely epic BBQ breakfast for our crew, but for taking the time to educate us on the vital work they do around su***de prevention. The way you engaged the team, shared real and powerful messages and got everyone involved through interactive activities made the session both meaningful and memorable.

Today wouldn’t have been the same without you. We’re incredibly grateful for the work you do and for starting our year with purpose, awareness and connection.

Here’s to building strong teams, looking out for one another and taking 2026 head on — together.

Working across Hawke’s Bay means we’re lucky enough to experience some pretty incredible work views.

From landscapes to sunsets and everything in between, no two days look the same and it’s just one of the things we appreciate about what we do.

As we draw to the end of 2025, feeling grateful for the places this work takes us and even more grateful for the people we get to share the journey with.

This week we attended the final Focus on Business event at ToiToi in Hastings, where guest speaker Frances Valintine delivered an eye opening session on how artificial intelligence and rapid digital change are reshaping New Zealand’s business landscape.

It was a powerful reminder of how quickly the world is shifting and how important it is for organisations to stay curious, adaptable and open to new ways of working. We came away inspired, with a deeper understanding of both the potential and the responsibility that comes with integrating AI into our business.

A huge thank you to Frances and all the team behind the event for creating such a valuable space for learning and conversation.

Today’s high temperatures called for an iceblock run!
With the sun beating down across Hawke’s Bay today, our teams out on site were working hard in some seriously hot conditions. To help keep everyone cool and refreshed, we delivered Juicies to crews across our projects and the smiles say it all.

A small gesture, but one that goes a long way in looking after our people. Keeping our teams safe, hydrated and supported is always a priority, especially on days like today. Great work out there, team!

We’re proud to be supporting Galbraith Earthmovers as a subcontractor on the Ocean Beach project and what a stunning place to be working.

These photos capture our team busy sealing Road 2 for the new subdivision. With the coastline as our backdrop and exciting plans taking shape for the area, it’s a privilege to help lay the groundwork for a development that will bring so much opportunity to the region.

Beautiful scenery, great collaboration, and solid progress!
