Great skin is built in layers.
The foundation is daily - sunscreen, a few ingredients that genuinely earn their place, and habits you actually keep. That part matters more than most people realise, and no in-clinic treatment compensates for skipping it.
When the foundation is right, professional treatments do something different. Skin boosters improve hydration and quality from within. Microneedling renews texture at a cellular level. Peels accelerate turnover and brighten the surface. Each addresses something the others can’t.
The best results I see are always a combination — considered treatments building on skin that’s already being looked after.
If you’d like to talk through what your skin actually needs, that’s exactly what a consultation is for.

Not everything I do is cosmetic.
The same training and tools I use for aesthetic treatments also let me treat two conditions that affect quality of life in ways people often underestimate: excessive sweating and chronic migraine.
Both are assessed the same way I approach everything — a proper medical conversation first, honest about whether treatment is appropriate for you and likely to help, and clear about what it involves.
If either has been quietly wearing on you, it’s worth a conversation.
Botulinum toxin type A is a Prescription Medicine. It has risks and benefits. Ask Dr Williams if treatment is right for you.

Filler or anti-wrinkle - what’s the difference?
It’s the question I’m asked more than almost any other. And they really are different tools, so it’s worth understanding which one does what.
Anti-wrinkle treatment relaxes the muscles responsible for lines that form through movement — frown lines, crow’s feet, forehead creases. It eases the movement. It doesn’t restore volume.
Dermal filler works differently. It uses hyaluronic acid to restore what time takes away — volume in the cheeks, structure along the jawline, lines that remain when your face is at rest. Not everyone loses volume at the same rate, so filler suits some faces more than others.
Which one is right for you depends on your face and your goals. Often it’s a thoughtful combination of both. That’s exactly what your consultation is for.

The thing people worry about most is not looking like themselves. Fair enough, it is your face.
So I keep things gentle and considered, and we build slowly, never all at once. The aim is simply you, refreshed. There is no single right look, only the one that feels like you.

Before any treatment, I would rather you felt fully informed than quietly unsure.
Most people arrive with the same handful of questions, and every one of them is worth asking. Here are the ones I hear most. Anything I haven’t covered, ask me at your consultation. No question is too small.

People are sometimes surprised that a working anaesthetist also does aesthetics.
To me the thread is obvious. Anaesthesia gives me the foundations I rely on every day: a deep respect for anatomy, precision, steady hands, and a calm focus on the person in front of me. Those skills carry straight over.
The difference, and the part I love, is the people. In theatre, my patients are asleep. At Origin, I get to talk with you, understand what you are hoping for, and build a relationship over time. That part is easily my favourite.
Two sides of the same medicine and both, in their own way, a privilege.

At Origin, treatment is guided by ultrasound where it counts.
Where it adds precision, Dr Williams uses real-time imaging to see the anatomy beneath the skin, the vessels and structures that vary from person to person, and plan around them.
It means careful, considered placement, shaped by your individual anatomy rather than a one-size template. It is the same imaging skill she brings from specialist anaesthesia.

What actually happens at your first visit.
The unknown is often the hardest part, so here is how it works at Origin.
Every appointment begins with a conversation, not a treatment. Dr Williams takes a full medical history, talks through what you are hoping for, and gives you honest options, including when the answer is to do nothing.
Nothing happens that you have not agreed to, there is no pressure to decide on the day, and treatment only goes ahead if and when it is right for you.

Our doctor-led treatments.
Every treatment at Origin is chosen for you, and carried out personally by Dr Maya Williams, specialist anaesthetist. Always anatomy-led, and always conservative.
Anti-wrinkle treatment, for the lines that linger after the expression has gone.
Dermal filler, for volume and definition that softens with time, used with restraint.
Skin rejuvenation, to support healthy, luminous skin from within.
Not sure where to begin? Every plan starts with a consultation, so the right treatment finds you, rather than the other way around.
Anti-wrinkle injections are a prescription medicine. They have risks and benefits. Ask your doctor if anti-wrinkle treatment is right for you. If you have side effects, see your doctor. For more information talk to Dr Maya Williams.
