LOUI is aligned with Australian charity Share the Dignity. 5% of profit from every purchase goes directly back to this amazing organisation.
Share the Dignity works to make a real on the ground difference to the lives of those experiencing homelessness, domestic violence or doing it tough.
They distribute period products to anyone that menstruates and in need of support. Women and children, both homeless and in shelters, were having to clean themselves in public toilets, making makeshift pads out of paper towels. It is also reported that women are often forced to choose between buying food to eat or to buy expensive sanitary items to get through their periods. This is not and never should be okay. Share the dignity aim to end period poverty in Australia already achieving amazing feats such as helping to axe the tampon tax in 2018.
They are working to ensure all public hospitals offer free sanitary items and to end the shame and stigma around periods in their period pride campaign.
