When I was a teenager and young adult I saw some crazy s**t and I don’t remember talking to my parents about any of it. Car accidents, violent fights, drug and alcohol abuse, some of which was normal experimentation, some of which was the more extreme edge of things because of who I liked to hang with.

Now I’m a parent to little ones, I’m working hard with my girlfriend to have an environment where our kids can come to us and process their experiences in a healthy, loving, none judgmental way.
