There are moments that completely shatter your world, and as a parent, this was our absolute nightmare. We almost lost our sweet LynbyAnna Seupepe, aka our pumba/Meema.

One minute, we were rushing into the hospital, and the next, we were shoved into the reality of Resus Room 3. This was very triggering as it brought back memories of us farewelling daddy in Resus 1.
Within a single hour, doctors and nurses were fighting to bring her back to life. In that pure, suffocating panic, all I could do was cry out to the only One who could hold her soul and the given and taker of life our Mighty God.

"In my distress, I called upon the Lord, and cried out to my God; He heard my voice from His temple, and my cry came before Him, even into His ears." — Psalm 18:6

God heard every desperate silent sob in that hospital room. Once she finally came to, hearing her call out "Mum, Mum" was the absolute best feeling in the world. I rushed straight to her side, silent tears rolling down my face, just thanking God for her life.
From there, we were moved to ICU, where she was carefully monitored. But just as quickly as all the drama happened, she recovered just as fast. She only needed to be in ICU for a single day before being moved back to the children's ward for monitoring.
Today, she is in full recovery mode and is completely back to her chatty, fun-loving self! God willing, she should be able to return to school next week. She is a living miracle of our amazing, loving God.

We want to say a massive thank you to everyone. Thank you for every message, call, visit, financial help, and groceries. But most especially, thank you for your prayers. Your prayers truly interceded for our girl when she needed it most.

We are truly blessed with the village that surrounds us and keeps us in their prayers—our family, our church family, our work family, and our most dear friends who are just like family. We love you all.

A short but very important trip to the motherland filled with immense joy, connection and blessings!
