Holistic and Ayurvedic Beauty therapies, including massage, facials and threading. Advanced treatmen

17/08/2020

Hi, folks of Maungaraki and the western hills. Many of you may not know me; however, I am a resident in Maungaraki since 2005. I used to run my beauty business from home on Cypress drive before taking running my professional skin and laser treatments clinic in Wellington city. I still run, however, have noticed so many people back in suburbia are missing out on such advanced treatments and care—all due respect to other therapists of course.

Anyway, I am doing some hours from my home clinic so you lovely people can come and experience top class upmarket treatments at local pricing. I will add services over the coming days so look out for advanced skin treatments and micro derms etc. I'm located at 4 Lime Grove Maungaraki feel free to text me on 021842713

Shankara Skin Care
Do you read skincare ingredient labels?

Anything you put on your skin is going to be taken in eventually, sooner or later. For example, we have hormones in creams, we put all kinds of things in creams because obviously the skin will take all of that in.
When you’re using a product that has a lot of chemicals in it, those chemicals are taken into your skin and go into your body. They float around, they travel though the blood stream and they’ll end up a little bit in all of your various organs...

Shankara Skin Care
Not all scrubs are created equal!:)

Shankara Body Scrub is a blend of mineral salts with powdered herbs and flowers (rose, lavender, calendula, chamomile), spirulina (algae), fucus (seaweed) and dehydrated honey, yogurt and sunflower oil. Diato-maceous Earth from underground ancient lake beds is included as a natural cleansing ingredient (It magnetically attracts dirt and debris from the skin and pores). The herbs have purifying and nourishing qualities while honey and yogurt contain gentle natural alpha hydroxy acids that help dissolve dead skin cells. Both the sunflower oil and honey help keep skin moist. The salts are scrubbing ingredients that help remineralize the skin and stimulate circulation.

Shankara Blemish Support Facial Care
by Shankara Skin Care on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 12:11pm ·
The ‘Blemish Support Collection’ for blemished and problem skin, is a collection of natural skincare
products offering a system of antimicrobial, antibacterial, sebum balancing and hydrating skin care to
support a clean, clearer complexion.

The Blemish Support Skincare System begins with purifying skin cleansing and deep pore detoxification, followed by therapeutic antimicrobial skin treatment. Simultaneously, your skin is balanced with proper hydration and normalized sebum secretion. Healthy dietary suggestions are offered as part of the Shankara ‘Blemish Support Program.’

Blemish Support Collection Products

Step 1: Clarifying Cleansing Gele’

This is an antimicrobial, hydrating cleansing gele’ that gently cleanses while purifying skin. It is pH balanced to
prevent damaging the skin’s natural protective acid mantle and moisture barrier. Skin feels clean, dewy soft and
hydrated.

Directions: Use no less than 2X daily, morning and night. Apply to damp skin and cleanse normally. Rinse and
pat dry. If wearing make-up, cleanse and rinse twice. (Note: Blemished skin should avoid wearing make-up.)

Step 2: Master Cleansing Treatment

This is an organic powdered blend of skin-nourishing herbs, flowers, legumes, yogurt, honey and diatomaceous
earth derived from ancient underground lakebeds. The herbal blend purifies, deep cleanses, soothes irritations,
richly nourishes skin and mildly exfoliates the skin’s surface. It is a key step to restoring balance in problem skin.

Directions: Use 1-2X daily. After first cleansing with the Clarifying Cleansing Gele’, in your palm, add about ½ t of
purified warm water to about ½ t of Master Cleansing Treatment to make a liquid paste. Gently rub this all around
your face. Let the ‘mask’ remain on your face for 5-10 minutes, then splash warm water on your face until it is
rinsed clean.

Step 3: DAY TIME CARE: Blemish Support Activator and Blemish Support Oil

Blemish Support Activator: This is a viscous water-based, hydrating formulation of purifying
antimicrobial herb extracts including neem, olive leaves, lemon balm, lemongrass, arjuna, manjista, witch hazel
basil and grapefruit seed extract; Soothing and healing aloe vera, lavender, calendula, comfrey, meadowsweet with
salicylic acid, panthenol and MSM; skin nourishing amino acids; hydrating plant factors; and antimicrobial and
soothing essential oils of manuka, lemon tea tree, lavender, lemongrass, rosemary, oregano, thyme and golden
seal. Designed to pe*****te deeply, the nutrients work at the source of problem skin.

Blemish Support Oil: This is an intense, highly potent therapy that pe*****tes to the deepest cellular levels
carrying antimicrobial essential oils of turmeric, camphor, neem, manuka, lemon basil, hyssop, cajeput, rosemary,
oregano, thyme and golden seal; nourishing and anti-inflammatory oil extracts of seabuckthornberry, calendula,
carrot, rosehips, rosehip seed and turmeric; antioxidants CoQ10, Alpha lipoic, Vitamins A, D3, E and Carotenes – in
an herbal oil base that includes olive-derived squalane for easy absorption. The effects of the oil blend are
powerfully effective to restore skin health without clogging pores.

Directions:

MORNING: Following cleansing (see above), apply the ‘Blemish Support Activator’ all over your face (and any
other areas of break-outs). Let this absorb into your skin for about 2-3 minutes. Follow with a thin application of
the ‘Blemish Support Oil’.

BEST OPTION – MID-AFTERNOON: Cleanse face with the Clarifying Cleansing Gele’ and reapply the Blemish
Support Activator and Blemish Support Oil.

Step 4: NIGHT TIME CARE: Detoxification Facial Mask and Blemish Support Oil

Detoxification Facial Mask: This is a potent deep cleansing, detoxification clay and herb based
treatment mask. It contains antimicrobial, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory herbs, extracts and essential oils found
in the blemish support activator and oil. In addition, is includes sweet almond extract as an added anti-irritant and
sebum-balancing and astringent bitter orange extract. In a clay base, pores are extracted of excess oil and trapped
debris.

Blemish Support Oil: See description above.

Directions:

1) Cleanse face with Clarifying Cleansing Gele’.
2) Apply the ‘Detoxification Facial Mask’ on face avoiding the orbital area surrounding the eyes. Allow the
mask to remain on until it dries (10-20 minutes). Rinse with warm water. The potent essential oils
contained in the mask may cause eyes to water and skin to tingle at first. Both symptoms will subside as
the mask dries. If your skin is too sensitive to tolerate the mask applied to your whole face (except eye
area) and you skin burns significantly with the application, then apply the mask only as ‘dot’ therapy only
on breakouts or congested black-head areas. You may still feel a strong sensation on those areas, though
not as strongly as you would if you applied the mask to your whole face, but know the feeling will
subside. --- If you find that you skin is drying out too much with regular nighttime use, back off usage
and apply every 2-5 days, depending on your individual skin condition. Rinse well.
3) Apply the ‘Master Cleansing Treatment’ as described in step 2.
4) Apply the Blemish Support Oil on clean skin avoiding area surrounding the eyes. Allow the oil to pe*****te
for about 20 minutes before turning your head on a pillow.

Option: Anti-Inflammatory Facial Mask

This calming, skin-softening, slightly firming mask is based in aloe and algae gel infused with cucumber, calendula,
chamomile, lemon balm, green tea, boswellia, lavender, licorice root and sandalwood extracts. Spirulina, cucumber
and oat (8% beta glucans) powders are blended into the gel base. Soothing essential oils of blue chamomile, tur-
meric, calendula and mimosa are added for their therapeutic benefits. Irritated or inflamed skin is calmed and skin
is hydrated and retextured leaving a feeling of satin-smoothness.

Directions: For inflamed breakouts, dot generously with Anti-Inflammatory Mask and leave on over night.
