I believe every horse deserves to feel its best whether they are performing at the highest level or a much loved companion. Growing up competing in many different equestrian sports up to international level led me into a career in racing that saw me travel all over the world. I have been lucky enough to work with many different equine therapists over this time which has allowed me to fine tune the exact kind of treatment I want to provide. While working in the UK I chose to qualify in equine sports massage specializing in stress and trigger point therapy. At the same time I completed my level 3 human sports massage certificate. I later went on to gain qualifications in myofascial release, functional posture and acupuncture and am currently in the process of completing a diploma in veterinary nursing. Combining these qualifications with my experience in the equestrian and racing industries has led to the efficient and effective method I use today. 🌿🌸 Spring has sprung! 🌸🌿

Just some of the hair removed from a client during his treatment last week. Massage is not only great for the muscles but good for the coat too, improving circulation and removing dander and loose hair.

This is also your reminder to give your ponies a good groom, especially a curry. Grooming can be a great way to access how your horses muscles are feeling and can also act as a gentle form of massage to help loosen tight areas.

Feel free to share your hairy horse grooming pics in the comments. There is nothing more satisfying than removing a big pile of hair!

Ok team, this last week of rain hasn’t been much fun so as of today I am migrating north for a month of warmer weather.
