We kept this on the down low.

It was a deeply private day. But with the passing of time + the permission of people, we want to share this with you. 'Cos there's good folk to thank, lessons we learnt + we reckon you'll appreciate the biggest learning, too.

A few weeks back we put on a spesh day at the Vertu Hair studio - alongside our gal pals Miss Fox Aesthetics . We held space for 45 wonderful people who felt the full force of Cyclone Gabrielle + surrounded them in a little TLC.

We were incredibly humbled to be able to spend time with + provide treatments for these heart + head strong humans who have shown incredible resilience + support for their own whanau through the hardest of times.

Teaching us, ultimately, that we are all stronger + more capable than we think (we want you to remember that, always, OK!?!)

And a day like Saturday 18th March ab-so-lute-ly can't go down, without the support from the kindest of souls across Hawke's Bay. A massive shout-out to Black Barn Vineyards ERB's Garden + who helped us create our TLC Salon Day.

It’s so sad that I can’t reopen the salon at level 3☹️😔😔so I will remain closed till we get back down to level 2❤️

I am disappointed as I miss you😔. But Health and safety gotta come first ❤️... It’s really hard to book appointments until we know exactly when that will be.

As soon as I know I will be in touch to rebook everyone.. I just can’t wait to see you guys again .Then will be lots of hugs and gossip to catch up then,🥰😜

Hi there. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Hope you all doing well😍 .

It will be awhile until I see you guys again, so if your nails get too long you still can file it shorter with a nail file, and when you have enough of it you can take it off your own, do not pick or peel them off. so here is little tip how to take your nails off at home :

You'll need:
Tin foil,
a nail file,
cotton pads or cotton balls
, acetone ( pure acetone is best, nail polish remover with acetone in it will work but it will take longer)
Cuticle pusher or an orange stick
Buffer
Cuticle oil

First, buff your fingernails with a nail file, removing the shiny coating of the gel polish, if you have acrylic nails or hard gel on underneath buff thru the colour as well.
2nd , soak a cotton ball in acetone until it's saturated. Put the soaked cotton ball on top of your buffed nail, and wrap your finger in a small square of tin foil to keep the cotton pads in place. Repeat for all of your fingers. ( do one hand at a time if it easy for you)

3nd, Set a timer for 10 -15 minutes, keep your hand warm ( cold hand will take a bit longer) well well well, remember you still can have a glass of wine while you do this, it will make time going fast.

4th, remove foil wraps and gently remove the flaking gel or acrylic with cuticle pusher.
Gently file or buff the remaining of acrylic or gel. And repeat step 2-4 again until all the product remove 😜🤪

Last but not the least, finish with cuticle oil to protect and nourish your nails.

And remember Be Patient , we have all the time in the world to do it at the moment.

Hello there.❤️❤️

As you probably have heard, NZ is going into lockdown, which means all non essential services must close their doors and go into self isolation for the next four weeks, probably more house renovation and gardening to do for me. 😍❤️😂🤣. I would regard having your nails done as essential but alas, the government disagrees! 😆

So from Wednesday 25th March the salon will be closed untill further notice. I hope like a lot of you, this lockdown will only last the four weeks. For this to happen we must all do as we are told and stay at home. I realise a lot of you have future appointments coming up and I will be messaging you regarding those in the next couple of days.
Please be safe, and remember to wash those hands and if you’re anything like me, have loads of chocolate and maybe start drinking wine, handy to keep you calm and stress free 😉😆

And the last but not the least Try to be calm and nice to each other while you self isolation at home together. I know i know it’s a bit hard to do it But Remember we are all in this together.

The Winter is here, our “CEO” decided to take a break over winter ❄️ . The salon will be closed for 2 weeks and it will reopen on the 29th July.
