💚A not so little life update 💚

On Monday I start a new chapter of my life. I’m excited (and nervous) to announce my new position at Kiwibank.
I’m so grateful to be given this opportunity to begin my new career in the financial sector.

But I really just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to all my amazing and beautiful clients over the past 20 years.
You’ve supported me, trusted me, laughed with me and shed a few tears with me. You’ve supported me in more ways than you possibly realise.
I’ve built so many genuine connections and friendships that I’ll alway be grateful for. Every single client has shaped me into the person I am and what has got me to where I am today.
So thank you.
I’ve shed many many tears over the past few weeks but this isn’t goodbye, so please don’t be strangers.

Im extremely excited about what the future holds, and thank you again to everyone that’s been a part of my journey so far.

Happy New Year to everyone!
Myself and Damian have had to book last minute flights to South Africa for a family emergency.
I will be closed from 13/01/2026-25/01/2026
I will have my phone on, so don't hesitate to contact me for appointments, however with the time difference please accept my apology in advance if I accidently message you at ungodly hours.
I really appreciate those that have changed appointments and been so understanding. Mum is holding down the fort (thanks mum) so so if you need product or an appointment with her just let me know :)

Just a wee reminder I’m off on holiday from Wednesday 23rd July (next week ) until Thursday 31st July.

Thank you everyone for the referrals, but my books are officially closed again. I couldn’t take on another person if I tried.
That being said, it’s about that time again where if you are wanting a Xmas appointment I’d recommend booking it now. Especially late nights and Saturday clients

I’ve had a cancellation for this Friday morning (31st may) if anyone is needing a last minute colour before the long weekend.

22 Perry cres, Greenmeadows if officially open and up and running. It’s been a heck of a journey, and we are absolutely exhausted but I’m so excited to start working in the new salon today. A few little touches still left to do but I can’t wait to share it all with you

Hey everyone, thank you all for being sooo patient with me in regard to the business moving. We FINALLY have a date! I’ve been a bit nervous to lock one in as I’m sure everyone knows, building is dependant on tradies availability, weather, and unexpected delays! However, everything is running to schedule, so at this stage I will be closed from Friday 19th April, and I will be reopening Tuesday 23rd April in the new premises, at 22 Perry cres, Greenmeadows.

HAIR AT NELLYS IS ON THE MOVE
as some of you are aware we are moving. Not to Australia, or Tauranga 🤦‍♀️ but to Perry cres, GREENMEDOWS. I know I’ve sent everyone on a wee roller coaster ride with our ever changing plans, while we have navigated what is best for our family.
Even with the move to taradale there have been so many “moving parts” to make this work, and it has been really hard to keep everyone informed as half the time even we don’t know.
Unlike most families when they move, they just move, but when you are moving a business as well, there is another 200+ people that need to know.
At this stage we still don’t have a date for the move but it will be end of March most likely, which is earlier than what we thought.
I’m so sorry for there being so much uncertainty for everyone.

Once we know about builders/plumbers/sparkies schedules and time frames I will be sending out a text to everyone in the next week or two, especially if you have an appointment around then.
I completely understand that not everyone will want to follow me to taradale as for some it does add to the commute. If this is the case, I’d love to know. For many reasons, I can give you your colour notes so that you can take that to the next hairdresser if you wanted them, but also I can give someone else the opportunity to add to my books, as I’ve had these closed for a few years now, but please stay in touch. Everyone of my clients feels like family to me. Hairdressing is only 50% about hair, the other 50% is about the laughing and the crying, the good news and the bad.
