This week has gone super fast yay for saturday its a morning of dreadlock maintenance today 🙌

First day of the month — so give someone a pinch and a punch 🤣
…or just a smile if you’re choosing peace over violence today.

So what’s been happening behind the scenes at Medusa’s?
I’ve mostly been waiting (very impatiently) for the basin to arrive..... and it finally has 🎉
That means dreadlock soaks are officially back as a service.

Today’s mission: build the basin.
The instructions look simple… which usually means they are absolutely lying to me 😅
Worst case scenario, I do have another basin in the shed that’s half-built with missing parts, after I previously lost my s**t and banished it there never to be seen again 6 yrs ago. So between the two, we should win.

I’m also heading to see the awesome ladies at Nelson Hair & Beauty Distributors today so I can get colour in.... which means I can now offer colour services for your dreads 🌈
Please note: I won’t be stocking every colour like I did at the salon, but I’m more than happy to order specific colours in for you if needed.

Honestly, I’m absolutely loving working from home.
Life feels calmer, less stressful, and it shows.
I’ve even painted the laundry, so while your dreads are soaking it’s a much nicer space to relax in.

Looking ahead 👀
August we’ll be moving out of the lounge and into the dedicated dreadlock room 😊
That means I’ll be able to start making dreadlock extensions again, along with bubble braided hair ties.
I’m also creating many new things behind the scenes, including getting back into crystal wrapping, which I’m really excited about.
So Medusa’s will be more than just your one-stop dread place , I’ll also have beautiful crystal necklaces available to purchase, keep your eyes on upcoming posts for this.

As for the merch… well 😅
We’ve had some printing issues, and I’m working closely with the suppliers to get it sorted.
I just want the merch retail side of things to be absolutely perfect, so until we find that perfect solution, this is where it’s at for now.
But hey. I’m still smiling, and I feel like only a few extra grey hairs have come through because of it 🤣🖤
If this is my biggest stress right now, I’m still absolutely winning 🐍✨
