Meet our newest TC artist - Isabelle Tong🌿🎨✨️

"Kia ora, I’m Isabelle and I am an illustrator, visual designer and printmaker. I grew up in Okaiawa, South Taranaki and am now based in Wellington.

I am a recent graduate of Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington with a Bachelor of Design Innovation majoring in Communication Design.

In my spare time, I enjoy getting out in the harbour with Poneke’s Dragon boat club and rifling through thrift stores.

I have chosen to donate 10% from the sale of each item in my collection to Gabby's Starlit HOPE which supports children who are in hospital and continues the legacy of Gabby Devine."

Loving being part of the The King's Trust Aotearoa New Zealand YES EIA team as their alumni mentor✨️

Entrepreneurs in Action (EIA) is an annual event where 66 of our most engaged YES students come together to compete in two back-to-back business challenges over 48 hours!!

Day 1 was focused around creating a business plan and pitch about ideas for Young Enterprise in 40 years time!

Day 2 & 3 challenge is coming up with an export strategy for a NZ natural skincare brand from New Zealand Trade & Enterprise perspective!

Such a great bunch of passionate students! So cool to support their journey and learning 👩‍💻

Amazing night on Friday night celebrating the Taranaki Foundation Emergence Art Awards and exhibition at Percy Thomson Gallery ✨️🎨🎉

Grateful to have one of my photography pieces in the exhibition!

The exhibition is open until 21st July so definitely worth heading to Stratford to see over 130 Taranaki young artists work on show🤩 Plus a stunning solo exhibition by previous Emergence winner Brett Morrison
