There’s a moment at every event where you realise whether you’re going to actually learn something, or just nod along to what you already know.
This weekend, Labs reminded me what real learning feels like.
To sit in a room and feel my lash soul light up again. To be surrounded by people who care about this industry the way it deserves to be cared for. To walk away with more than I came in with, as a lash artist, a business owner, and a lawyer.
The detail. The manaakitanga. The thought behind every single moment. I’ve been to conferences in New Zealand and internationally, and none of them have made me feel the way this one did. This is the standard the NZ lash industry needs.
Congratulations to every winner, every speaker, every person who showed up ready to give and receive.
And to Miriam and Renee, what you’ve built here is something to be deeply, deeply proud of.
