Why I haven't posted about the recent "Sagittarius Blue Moon."

I've been a little occupied lately.
Some of you may have noticed I've been absent from The Apothecary for a couple of weeks. After slipping a disc in my back, I was forced to stop. Literally.
For two days I could barely walk.
All I could do was rest, then my attention turned to supporting my partner through hip surgery and recovery. We are both back on our feet, but he will be relying on crutches for the next five weeks.

Also, I have not contributed to the hype of the blue moon because the way I work with lunar cycles is a little different.

There are a number of ways a Blue Moon can be defined:
1. Two full moons in one calender month

2. A second full moon in the same zodiac sign (a truely special cosmic alignment)

3. The fourth full moon within a season

The zodiacal calendar and the Gregorian calendar don't align, which is one of the reasons different interpretations exist.

At the moment, my attention has been drawn less to the "Blue Moon" conversation and more to the season we're moving through. Here in the Southern Hemisphere, we're approaching the Winter Solstice, we are in the middle of the Long Nights Moon.

I've been leaning right into it. I might struggle to return to work this week 🙃

I'm a bit of a hermit and homebody, so I love this season. The early sunsets, cosy evenings, warm nourishing meals, deep cups of tea, and decent books... the invitation to slow down is real.
