Soap Sunday…..It’s been a while!
Look at all these delightfully yummy all-cotton crochet facecloths my friend made. I’d tag her in but somehow my page isn’t playing the game 🫤. They feel soooo good on your face.
These little bundles of soap and joy are off to The Providore's Gallery.

Also been trying out some other packaging ideas.
Creative people have to spend a ridiculous amount of time and money on this side of creating…… just for people to unwrap and discard.
So much perception involved making a product valuable, when it’s already pretty freaking awesome to start with!

I do struggle with buying new, knowing that it goes straight to the bin. Just ask my family…….recycled gift paper queen right here! 😂 😛 😆

🫣The weather isn’t very conducive to making soap today 🌧️. Especially when your workshop is outside.

So I’ve finished tidying up these wee soap dishes, now ready to be bisque fired.
I harvested the clay myself. The only time I’ve EVER been excited about having clay soil in my garden.

And just like that my little Orange shop is full once again. With a wee coffee shop on the side.
Yup the Coffee Exfoliate is still my favourite, so I’ve made plenty! 🤭.

Native Button Daisy & Summer Honey. Both ingredients harvested here in Kaipatiki.
I love using 🍯 in soap. It seems to add a bit more lushness & body. Pretty colour too 💛.

I ALSO love that these sweet little daisies are possibly some of the very same daisies that were visited by the bees who supplied the honey for my soap. 🐝 +🌸 =🧼 🤩.

What is Soap Sunday? Sunday is Soap day.

The day I do inventory, recipe research, gather pretty’s and make…Soap.
Why Sunday? Because if I don’t show a bit of discipline imma gonna make soap every day, and that costs money.

It’s far easier and less frustrating selling a little bit of soap to recover costs than what it is to constantly spend valuable time trying to market and push my soap out into the social world of scrolling.

Got my work station set up last Sunday and today I went for a walk to the bottom garden and grabbed some spare kaffir limes that haven’t quite made it into my G&T. Smells so good……

Off for a walk soon, my neighbour has some lovely Kaipatiki summer honey for me. ☀️ 🐝 🌸 🍯. Anti-bacterial moisturising soap coming soon!

Then it’ll be G&T time 😉.

Sunday is soap day. Boxing up my first order. Looks like coffee is a hit. With a couple of pretties thrown in to balance up the rustic.

exfoliates so well. thyme from my garden from the paddock (not the roadside 🚘). is fun day.

Tumeric & Thyme.
They say Tumeric is really good for your skin.
I say it’s really good in your belly too.
…..Just not when it’s a soap 🤢.
