We’ve officially been named a DMK Clinic of the Year Finalist for New Zealand.

On top of that, our pigmentation case was awarded Pigmentation Transformation of the Year, which now means it’s been selected to compete for the overall Skin Transformation of the Year award at the Australian & New Zealand DMK Awards.

Awards are wonderful, but what means the most is what they represent.

They represent years of learning.
A team that genuinely cares.
Clients who trust us enough to stick with the process.
Every consultation, every treatment, every follow up and every little win along the way.

Thank you to every single person who has trusted Face It with your skin.

We couldn’t do what we love without you. 💚

Hearing Face It announced as a Clinic of the Year finalist never gets old.

This award recognises the entire clinic, the team, our systems, our results and every client who’s trusted us.

Winning Pigmentation Transformation of the Year was something really special.

This transformation wouldn’t have been possible without a wonderful client who trusted me with her skin and allowed me to share her journey. I’m so grateful 🤍

Our winning case now automatically goes on to compete for the overall Skin Transformation of the Year award.

When you’re thinking about treating pigmentation, you’re more than likely thinking about the pigment you can see.

The dark patches, sun spots and the marks acne leaves behind.

But what if the real question isn’t:
“How do we remove the pigment?”

What if it’s:
“Why is the skin producing it in the first place?”

That’s what makes Cosmelan different.

It’s designed to work beyond what’s visible on the surface and focus on the processes involved in pigment formation.

Because if you’re only treating what you can see, you’re often missing part of the picture.

Have a read through the carousel to see how the process works 🤍

One of the biggest mistakes I see with melasma is treating it like a simple pigmentation concern.

Melasma doesn’t follow the rules.

It’s influenced by heat, hormones, inflammation, lifestyle and so much more, which is why we can’t just zap it away

Managing melasma is about things you do consistently, not the things you do occasionally.

That’s also one of the reasons we’re so excited to be introducing Cosmelan into the clinic, it gives us another powerful tool to help manage one of the most complex skin conditions we see.

If you have melasma, how many of these surprised you? 👇🤍

We don’t just bring a treatment into clinic because it’s trending.

We bring it in because we’ve spent years wishing you had something more to offer.

Pigmentation has always been one of the most challenging concerns we treat. We’ve helped so many clients achieve incredible improvements, but I’ve always felt there was another level we could reach.

That’s why I’m so excited about this.

Not because it’s new or popular.
But because I genuinely believe it has the potential to help the right clients go further.

And as someone who’s lived with melasma myself for the last 15 years, that’s something I’m pretty passionate about.

This is something I’ve been incredibly excited to bring into clinic, and I can’t wait to share more with you.

Including my own journey along the way 🤍

This time of year, we focus heavily on helping the skin function properly again so it can actually hold onto hydration better 💦

Ingredients that support free water levels in the skin, strengthen the barrier and reduce water loss can make such a difference when the skin starts feeling tight, flaky, irritated or reactive

You also don’t want to be using harsh scrubs, over exfoliating, and too many actives especially if the skin is feeling sensitive, eczema prone, or constantly irritated.

And more than anything ✨Consistency matters✨

After 20+ years in clinic…
these are the skin “hills” I’ll never move on.

Not trends, Not what’s popular.
Just what I’ve seen actually work again and again in clinic.

With so much information online, I see people constantly doing what’s trending or looking for the fastest fix.

And I totally get it, we live in a world that wants everything fast.
But skin doesn’t work like that.

If you treat it with the right approach and consistency that’s where everything changes.

I can’t tell you how many conversations we’ve had saying

“I feel like I’m constantly changing what I’m using… but my skin just won’t stop breaking out”

And when we start talking about what they’re using?

👉 spot treatments
👉 pimple patches
👉 products they’ve seen online

And it usually looks like they’re just dealing with whatever pops up… rather than actually getting on top of it.

It starts to feel never ending, like you’re always managing it, but it never really changing it.

And… we’ve been told that it’s exhausting.

If this feels like you
You just might be missing part of the picture

We couldn’t not do this trend 😂
Safe to say… none of us knew where we’d end up
but the real question is…
can you actually guess who’s who?👇🏼
