Valentine's Day 2020 : Pick for the elderly - How you can help?

This is going to a bold post, not flower related and no pretty pictures (and most likely very long 😊) but very necessary as I just created a Valentine's Day event on here (something I promised myself I would never do again after the pre-Christmas event) and I refuse to sit back for the next 23 days and watch it blow up in my face and enter another state of panic on how I will manage this on my own. So here's how, as a community, you can help me pull this off, cause believe me, there is nothing I'm more passionate about and I will pull this off, even if it's the only thing I accomplish in life & never make another dime again, but could really use your help.

1. Tararua District Council - can you guys please help me out re the 100km/h speed sign that's planted approx. 500m from my enterance... I've had conversations with a few of you over the last couple of years but no traction yet on getting the speed limit reassessed. With multiple new driveways put in between town and McCardle Rd (which is on an aweful bend I might add) I truly believe that it's in the community's best interest for this to be treated as a priority item. If it's the NZ Transport Agency - Central North Island I need to talk to, please let me know and I will do that. If it's not realistic to have this done before 14 Feb 2020 I would really appreciate information about how I go about getting temporary traffic management services between 9am - 12pm on the 14th of Feb as we'll have multiple cars coming and going as we distribute the flowers (as an indication of numbers, on the 23rd of December 2019 more than 150 cars went in an out of my driveway in 3 hours' time and I have every reason to believe the 14th of Feb 2020 will see this number increase SIGNIFICANTLY)... Hence the plee for help, PLEASE!

2. Locals (that includes all in the Manawatu, from Palmerston North, Feilding, Ashhurst, Woodville, Dannevirke, Pahiatua, Foxton etc.) - if you know of an elderly person that lives on your street, comes in to your shop, attends your church or what ever the case might be, you need to come out or let us know where we need to deliver too. PLEASE! So many of them live in isolation, and won't get in touch themselves, so flick me a message on here or a text on 0211798282 and we'll take it from there.

3. Local businesses (big and small) - if can help in any way, this includes donating products that we can add to the flowers as gifts, provide refreshments for the pickers or whatever you can think of, please do consider offering your support.

4. HandPicked Flower Farm regulars 😊💕💐 You guys are rockstars and I still can't comprehend that 100s of you have actually taken the time to come out here since we officially opened our gates 4 weeks ago - I need you guys to spread the word please, tell a friend, share the event, get in touch with your local hospital and/or rest home to get an idea of numbers, come out on the day and show the newbies the ropes, bring young & old with you, the possibilities truly are endless on how many people's lives we could brighten up come 14 Feb 2020 but I need your help, PRETTY please!

I will post this again (for those who don't make it this far down a post...) - we will be closed for picking Monday - Thursday, 10 - 13 Feb 2020 (with the only exception being those of you who have already booked in to pick for your weddings, whom I will contact individually) and then we'll go in first thing on the Friday morning and strip this paddock of every flower we can find, because around here, we don't do things half heartedly 😁💕🙏🙌💐
