Today we had a chat with a lady originally from Kenya who described todays Midtown Street Party as a “piece of home, a piece of Africa”. Events like this are so much more than just fun and dancing. Yes, there was lots of fun and a lot of dancing but a space was created for Africans to feel at home and connect to our mother land all the way in Aotearoa. People from various cultural backgrounds had an opportunity to learn and enjoy a bit of our African culture, music and talent too. Such a beautiful evening. A huge thank you to all those that made this event possible! We look forward to more like it!🌍

Late Comer late notice.

Interoducing our last designer. My name is Rosemary Carter, born in Zimbabwe, I migrated to New Zealand in February 2002. As a business owner of Masafinyas Corner, Masafinys African designs, Mrs Exquisite pageant New Zealand and also working with in the community, I am also passionate about Fashion and Designing.

2019 I was asked to design and model my own hats and Accessories for an African Fashion Show at The New Zealand Fashion Week showcasing our African Culture of which I thoroughly enjoyed.

2021 at the age of 55 years old I joined the
Mrs Universe New Zealand pageant of which I received a few titles.

October 2022, I was inspired to Register our own pageant Mrs Exquisite NZ. We are very excited to see where this Journey will take us. Please join us.
