Just wanted to let you all know I will be doing haircuts in kapiti every 4, 6 and 8 weeks on sundays only. (UNLESS ARRANGED)

I will come to you, or alternatively you can come to JB Motocycles in lindale.

Always love getting something different from the normal in every once and a while.

Hair like this doesn't come around very often in New Zealand, so not many people would know how to approach this type of hair. For myself I watched videos .... lots of videos because I wanted to educate myself incase the situation ever arose that I'd need to know how.
Ive also been taught by a barber who worked with this type of hair regularly due to living in the UK at the time, so have tips from a master is helpful.

Over the last 6 years i have enjoyed being a barber, meeting new people, making friendships and some of those friendships becoming like family. Over the last 12 months my body has struggled with the physical aspects of being a barber and therefor i have needed to take a step away doing it full time. I am taking a step in a new direction towards a different career path that excites me.

As of the 17th of April I will no longer be working at Andys barbershop. I have enjoyed my time with Andy and Cheryl over the last 4 years and am forever greatful for the support they have shown me.

For those who still wish to get there haircut by me i will still be available to do so. Ill be available most Saturdays and Sundays and any time after 5pm during the week at my residence in levin if you are happy to travel. Just flick me a message 😃 (Can sort something if im down in kapiti also)

Education talk:

Anyone who work in hair and beauty should be educated on how to detect or notice skincancers.

If you learn and educate staff/apprentices in skincancers and skin condition or irregularities you or your staff may save someones life if picked up early.

Thats what happened for me today, 12 months ago i mentioned to an old chap who had a major skin irregularitie on his ear and it looked angry. I said you need to get that checked asap even if it is nothing. Today he said to me "i went to the dr that week and they found melanomas all over my body internally and because you mentioned it they got it early so thank you"

This is apart of a reason i do love my job, i get to see people fight and win battles. I get to sometimes save lives.

For those who dont know me my name is Rhiannon.
I have been a barber for almost 6 years now, i got my full level 4 late 2022 and am now able to train
apprentices.

I beileve in making everyone feel good about themselves, i beileve in spreading support for those in need a being someone to chat to through thosw times. I am a happy, caring person that stops at nothing to achieve my goals and i push others to do so aswell. I am trained in "old school barbering" which means i cater to your type of hair, lifesyle and needs. It also means im good with a pair of scissors (the old school way) and can tackle pretty much any challenge thrown at me. Yes i can do fades, yes i can cut childrens hair and yes i can cut your long hair. ☺️
I love the smile i bring to peoples faces. .
6 years into my journey of barbering and I'm still learning new things and developing my skills to be better than i was yesterday. I am driven and highly motivated to do the best work i can on a daily basis.

Things about myself i love bikes,cars, tattoos, animals. I am a people person, i love talking to people and getting to know their stories.

If you cant cater to the older generation what are you doing..... not everyone wants clippers just because they are thinning.

Due to easter weekend its a short week so we are giving everyone the opportunity to come down and get a haircut before Andy and I take the long weekend.
