Last week Bernie attended and presented at the World Indigenous Cancer Conference 2026. To say she was nervous was an understatment, but she's lived to tell the tale and has been in awe of those who are adept at presenting and sharing information at this level.

The presentation title: Weaving Oncology Massage through Te Whare Tapa Whā. Something to build on for her masters thesis next year.

The plenary presentations were fantastic! Hearing from leading indigenous practitioners from across the world. All of whom are doing amazing work in their respective fields.

This testing technology would be a game changer! Not only saving lives, but minimising anxiety, pain, and trauma experienced by women with lymphoedema, and those who have had mastectomy(ies).
