"You look good for your age." Sounds like a compliment, right? Gillian Anderson says it isn't.
The 57-year-old British actress spoke in a L'Oréal Paris campaign about something almost no one questions. That phrase that seems like a compliment but actually assumes that aging is a problem someone has managed to disguise well. According to Anderson, if someone really looks good, it's enough to say so, without the "for their age" at the end, without the hidden comparison, without the implicit discount.
Her point goes beyond language. Anderson has long spoken out against the pressure that pushes older women to become invisible or pursue impossible standards of youth. For her, aging isn't a battle one loses, but a stage that brings confidence, clarity, and something very valuable: no longer judging oneself. A compliment or discrimination with good intentions?

Keeping it real - this has been a long process for this client . 14 treatments and we are there. Today we did a final treatment that included a Resolve sublative treatment to address some scar tissue . The very faint remaining ink will fade over the coming months and she will be ready for summer .
