Lately, I’ve been observing and hearing a lot of things, and honestly, it makes me sad.

In the world we live in today, we should be raising each other up, not tearing each other down. 💗

From seeing hateful comments telling people to harm themselves, to hearing local artists talking badly about one another behind closed doors… when did we decide this was okay?

If you don’t have anything nice to say, sometimes the best thing to say is nothing at all. And if you’re around that kind of negativity, don’t feed into it, shut it down, change the conversation, or simply walk away.

We’re all just trying to do the best we can. I’ll happily admit I’ve found myself caught up in other people’s drama before, but I’m learning that I don’t want to tolerate it, contribute to it, or add fuel to the fire.

That’s not me, and it’s not the person or performer I want to be.

I want to meet people in this industry, support them, learn from them, celebrate their successes and hopefully have them celebrate mine too. There is room for ALL of us to shine. ✨

And if someone isn’t your cup of tea? That’s okay! Not everyone will be. But you don’t need to tear someone down just because they’re not for you.

Kindness costs absolutely nothing.

Anyways… spread love, not hate. 💗

That's right Dirtease South Vol.9 is coming!

Miss Kaysey Leighfronting the poster this time for an all out Drag Edition! Expect a riot! Save the date people, May 23rd at RIFF - Live Music Venue!

Exciting news too, this time I have a co producer on vol.9 while I spread my spoons over to The Southland Alzheimers Charity Dinner 2026 for a great cause and a night of lush entertainment, food and fundraising.

Invercargill's rising drag star, Snowpea Apirana will help me produce vol 9 and learn the ropes, so look out Invercargill because shes a force too and there's plenty more to come!
