Thanks Kate
I love this image, and I may do some art around it 🌸
We are always changing; we are meant to be
Growing and healing means we also shed
This doesn’t happen in a linear way, it happens in seasons, waves, spirals....
Sometimes we have to enter a liminal space of nothingness, between two worlds, which can feel really scary.
We sometimes have to lose ourselves and be smashed apart, dissolve even... to be re-formed into something new.

“Pooh,” said Piglet softly, “how do you know when it’s time to step away from things that make you sad?”
Pooh thought about this very carefully, because it was a question that touched both the heart and the tummy, and those were the most important sorts of questions.
“Well, Piglet,” he said, “sometimes you notice that certain places or certain thoughts feel too heavy, like carrying too many honey pots all at once. And then you remember—it’s all right to set some of them down.”
Piglet tilted his head. “But isn’t that leaving things behind?”
Pooh shook his head gently.
“Not leaving, Piglet.
Just choosing.
Choosing to keep what makes you warm inside and
putting down what makes
your paws ache.
Because even in the Hundred Acre Wood, not every path is meant for every day.
Some paths lead to sunshine, and some only to thistles.”
Piglet gave a little sigh of relief. “So self-care is knowing which path to walk?”
“Exactly,” said Pooh. “It’s remembering that it’s not selfish to take care of your heart.
Because when your heart is lighter, you have more to share with the friends who need you most.”
And with that, Pooh leaned back against the log, flower in hand, tea steaming beside him, and decided that the best kind of strength wasn’t carrying everything, but knowing when to carry less.
Take care of what you carry..

I’ve added something new to the massage studio...
TEO Deep Oscillation Therapy, it is also known as EOT, electrostatic oscillation therapy. Its not a tens machine, or a laser.
TEO is a gentle therapy that creates a deep, rhythmic oscillation through the tissues. It feels quite different from massage. Most people describe it as a soft pulsing or vibrating sensation, and it can be used without heavy pressure.
Put simply, It softens the tissues, creates more movement.
I’m particularly interested in it because it fits well alongside the work I already do with lymphatic drainage, scar therapy and gentle fascial work.
Depending on the treatment settings and the individual in front of me, I may use TEO to support:
~ swelling and fluid movement
~ post-surgical recovery
~ painful or sensitive tissues
~ scar and tissue mobility, including cording and oncology treatment fibrosis
~ haematomas
~ muscle tension and stiffness
~ lipodema
One of the things I like most about TEO is that it doesn’t require much pressure to create an effect.
It isn’t a magic machine, although it keeps being asked for! One client affectionately calls it the buzzy bees. Its a considerable investment and I am very happy with the results so far.
And yes, it feels rather lovely too.
