For the girls 🩷
Perimenopause can mess with your sleep before you even realise hormones are the reason. 🫠
Changes in oestrogen and progesterone can affect sleep quality, while hot flushes, night sweats, mood changes and waking through the night can make getting proper rest feel almost impossible.
A few things that may help:
• Keep your bedroom cool and use breathable bedding
• Keep your sleep/wake times as consistent as you can
• Limit caffeine later in the day
• Get outside and move your body during the day
• Create a proper wind-down period before bed
• Make your sleep environment as comfortable and supportive as possible
• If sleep changes are persistent or really affecting you, talk to your GP, you don’t just have to put up with it.
And sometimes it’s not one magic fix. It’s lots of little things that make sleep feel a bit easier.
This review absolutely made my day because good sleep can feel VERY precious during this stage of life. 🤍

They really aren’t that little.
And I’m truly grateful for every opportunity

My son inspired Neck’s Best Thing, but there were so many other reasons I went ALL IN. 💜
I wanted to create supportive pillows and comfort products that helped people sleep better, while building a business that gave me the freedom to be present for my four boys.
I wanted something that was MINE. Something I could build from the ground up, challenge myself with and be genuinely proud of.
I wanted to give back to causes close to my heart and show my boys what can happen when you take a chance on yourself.
What started with one orthopaedic pillow has grown into a range of sleep and comfort products, with over 10,000 Kiwis now sleeping on our pillows!
My son was the inspiration, but this journey has become so much bigger than I ever imagined. 💜

A better night leads to a better day and that’s all I have to say about that 🩷
Sometimes, good sleep is completely out of our control. ❤️
We all know the goal is 7–9 hours of quality sleep each night, but sometimes life has other plans.
Sick kids, needy kids, being sick yourself, work, stress and a million other things that get in the way.
Last night, I barely slept. With sick boys, feeling absolutely awful myself, a throbbing head and a sore throat, I ended up having to sleep sitting upright.
Here I am, back in bed at 9am, with a million things I could be doing and commitments in a couple of hours.
But here’s your reminder that prioritising rest doesn’t always mean getting a perfect night’s sleep.
Choosing to lie down instead of pushing through. Giving your body a chance to recover, even if it’s only for half an hour is better than nothing.
We talk so much about the importance of sleep, but I think it’s equally important to acknowledge that sometimes those ideal 7–9 hours just aren’t realistic.
Don’t let the pursuit of perfect sleep become another thing to stress about. Rest when you can, however you can. 💜

When you tell your friends and family about a small business,
It truly makes our heart sing.
We now have over 1000 5 star reviews and that will never be lost on me.
My original thought process when starting Neck’s Best Thing would mean I’d only have 1000 customers let alone that many reviews.
So Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.
Night 1 was a fail…
Let’s see how night 2 goes.
