Celebrating beautiful futures, wonderful lives, special moments, family, friends & occasions

I am a registered independent Taupo-based celebrant and a member of the Celebrants Aotearoa (CANZ) and have previously served on their national executive and am the immediate past president. With a lifetime in the communication and public relations sphere, it's my love of people and the intersections at important times of life that's drawn me to be professional celebrant. It's such a privilege to help facilitate and celebrate beautiful futures, wonderful lives, special moments, family, friends and occasions.

Taupō really is a special place to say “I do”. 🤍

Beautiful landscapes, gorgeous venues and plenty of talented local suppliers to bring it all together.

If you’re dreaming of something a little more relaxed, I can also help with an all-inclusive rural wedding package for up to 50 guests, bringing the venue, ceremony and local suppliers together without all the fuss.

So, where would you say “I do”? 💍

What a gorgeous setting for a wedding 🤍

One of the things I love about being a celebrant is that no two ceremonies are ever the same. Different couples, different places and different stories, all coming together for one very special moment.

Every name has a story. What's yours? 💛

Choosing a child's name is one of the first gifts we give them. It may honour a loved one, reflect your heritage, be inspired by a special place, or simply be the name that felt right.

A naming ceremony is a beautiful way to welcome your child, celebrate their place in your whānau, and share your hopes for the future. While they're often held in a baby's first year, they're just as meaningful for older children, adopted children and blended families.

I'd love to hear the story behind your child's name - let me know.

Such beautiful words to receive after a very special day 🤍

Thank you Bruce and Gagan for trusting me to be part of your celebration. It was an absolute pleasure creating and sharing this moment with you both.

What are you most looking forward to in retirement?

It's a time to reflect on past achievements and look forward to new adventures. Whether you're planning to travel, pick up a new hobby, or simply relax, this is your moment.

Retirement marks a new chapter filled with endless possibilities!

Wedding season is here 💍

The skies may have been grey and the wind certainly made its presence felt, but Melissa and Heath didn’t let that get in the way of a wonderful day.

There was plenty of warmth, laughter and happiness, and their joy at getting married shone through.

What are you celebrating?

We often think of ceremonies for weddings and farewells, but there are so many other moments in life worth marking. 🤍

A new baby, a naming ceremony, graduation, renewing your vows, moving into a new home, starting a new job, retirement, a significant birthday, or simply moving into a new chapter of life.

Big or small, ceremonies gives us a chance to pause, bring the people who matter together and acknowledge the moment.

I’m pleased to share that I am now a Certified Grief Coach. 🤍

This feels like a natural next step for me, building on my work as a Certified Grief Educator and deepening my understanding of how we can live alongside grief.

Grief coaching isn’t about fixing grief or trying to move someone on from it. It’s about meeting people where they are, listening, asking thoughtful questions and supporting them as they find their own way forward.

My training, developed by grief expert David Kessler and coach Nancy Levin, has given me some valuable new skills and ways of working, while reinforcing something I already believe strongly: grief is deeply individual, and there is no single right way through it.

I’m grateful to have completed the certification and look forward to bringing what I’ve learned into the support I offer others.

Before families begin to heal, there is the important work of saying goodbye.

As we spend time reflecting, I'm reminded that every life deserves to be honoured in a way that feels true to the person who lived it. There is no single right way to farewell someone. The most meaningful ceremonies are those that tell a story, celebrate a life and bring people together in love and remembrance.

It is a privilege to walk alongside families during such a tender time, listening, guiding and creating a ceremony that reflects the unique person at its heart.

Based in Taupō, I support families throughout the Central Plateau with warmth, compassion and care.
