Keeping to a routine can be a struggle at the moment. It’s ok to have days off or be lacking in motivation. Try and get someone in your bubble out training with you as it makes time go quicker and keeps training fun!!

Homemade pool! Anyway to get some training in is perfect. Attached myself onto a tree and went for a swim today.

No equipment, no worries. There has been a huge spike in people getting out exercising with this lock down. A few of our athletes were concerned about not being able to go to the gym for strength. This workout shows that you can get a full body workout with a few rocks and a chilly bin. Also just because it’s day 5 doesn’t mean it’s time to slack of stay motivated towards your goals!

We all know that it’s time to go into lock down for 4 weeks. BK coaching believes this is the most critical time to get some training in when many of your competitors will be slacking off. This extra time should allow you to work on your weakness that normally we put a side and don’t leave time for. Whether it’s strength for some injury prevention or getting those extra running kms out it all counts! It’s all for a short time then we will be back to our normal lives 👍 But please stay at home and stay safe! Let’s all keep each other updated with isolation progress.

▪️Tip of the week▪️

Tiredness and fatigue is a big part of endurance sport.
Ask yourself these 3 questions after your training day.
1 - Did I get my recommended 8 hours sleep the night before.
2 - Have I had a well balanced diet and fuelled well enough to do the set training today.
3 - Have I done my stretching and recovery after each session set today.
At our goal as coaches is to manage each athletes training load and other commitments in life to assure they get the best out of their body each and every day.
Tiredness and Fatigue is something that will always be apart of endurance sport.
Just ask yourself these 3 questions and make sure you listen to your body. 1 day off or training session could be the difference between picking up an injury or getting sick.

BK coaching is a new page to get people achieving their own goals and out experiencing the sporting world. Brad Cullen has been a professional triathlete racing internationally against top athletes. Kim has a large background in sports as a swimmer, mountain biker and a new found love for 70.3 Iron men races. We have recently started coaching to get people performing their best in a healthy way. Our coaching is aimed at children finding out about new sports, athletes wanting to get the best out of themselves and adults who really want to achieve a life long goal. We mainly develop programs for swimmers, bikers and runners as well as some group trainings for those wanting to get fit. Let us know what your goals are for 2020!
