As the year starts to slow down, we just wanted to say thank you. 💞

Thank you for trusting us with something that can feel very personal and very tender. For walking through the door, or joining us online, even when it felt hard. For sharing your stories, your worries, and sometimes your tears.

This time of year can bring up a lot.

Joy, exhaustion, relief, and sometimes a quiet ache too. Whatever this season looks like for you, please know how much we appreciate being part of your journey.

We feel incredibly grateful for the support, kindness, and understanding you’ve shown us throughout the year.

It truly means more than you know.

We hope the holidays bring you moments of rest and gentleness.

And if things feel heavy, remember you don’t have to carry it all alone. We’re always here when you’re ready.

Patti’s Story: Finding Confidence Again

When Patti from Ōpōtiki came to us, she was looking for more than just a wig. After treatment, she was ready to feel like herself again. To feel confident and feminine.

She told us she’d been feeling unsure about what might suit her. But during her consultation, she was surprised by how many options there were. We gently encouraged her to try styles and colours she might not have picked herself. And when she found the right one, she felt such a sense of relief. It just felt like her.

Now, Patti says her wig is so wearable, she often forgets she’s even got it on. It’s become part of her. Something that helps her feel more like herself every day.

Her advice? Be open minded and try everything. It might just change how you see yourself.

You’re not alone in this. If you ever want to talk or quietly try on a few options, we’re here.

It was a beautiful sea of pink at the Hot Pink Walk in Tauranga this week.

I went along to support Breast Cancer Support Service Tauranga and everyone touched by breast cancer. Seeing so many people walking together…

some in celebration, some in memory, some walking quietly with their own stories. And it’s a reminder for me how powerful the community really is.

Breast cancer doesn’t just affect the body. It changes how we see ourselves, and sometimes how we feel in our own skin. If you’re walking through hair loss or treatment right now, please know you’re not alone.

If you’ve recently heard the word “alopecia” and felt overwhelmed, you’re not alone.

Alopecia is an autoimmune condition that causes hair loss. It can show up as small patches, or affect the whole scalp or body. And while it’s often misunderstood, it’s more common than people realise.

Whether you’re newly diagnosed or have been living with alopecia for years, you deserve to feel seen and supported, without judgement or pressure.

We’re always here if you need someone to talk to.
