Matariki weekend 🤍✨

A weekend spent exactly how I love it… making memories with my little family.

Although I didn’t quite expect to be calling 111 after Aaliyah managed to get herself well and truly stuck in a baby swing. 😅 Safe to say she thought meeting the firefighters was the best part of the day, her absolute heroes.

Moments like these remind me that life isn’t always perfectly planned, but it’s these little (and slightly chaotic) memories that become the stories we laugh about for years to come.

As we step into the Māori New Year, I’m feeling grateful for family, good health, fresh beginnings, and all the little moments in between.

Mānawatia a Matariki. 🌟

I didn’t become a hairdresser because I love hair.

I became a hairdresser because I love that moment when someone catches a glimpse of themselves in the mirror… and smiles.

Over the last 13 years, I’ve realised my favourite part of this job isn’t the foils, the formulas or the before and after photos.

It’s watching a busy mum finally take two hours just for herself.

It’s helping someone embrace their grey instead of feeling like they have to hide it.

It’s showing women that healthy, beautiful hair is possible.

Every appointment is about so much more than colour.

It’s about making you feel seen.

Listened to.

Cared for.

And helping you leave feeling more like yourself than when you walked through the door.

Because beautiful hair is what I create…

Confidence is what I hope you leave with. 🤍

If this resonates with you, I’d love to know what helps you leave a salon feeling your best.

Moisture and protein aren’t enemies… your hair actually needs both. 🤍

The trick is knowing which one your hair is asking for.

If your hair feels dry and rough, adding more protein probably won’t fix it.

If your hair feels weak and stretchy, another moisture mask probably isn’t the answer either.

Healthy hair isn’t about buying every product on the shelf it’s about giving your hair what it actually needs.

✨ Save this for your next wash day.

And if you’re still unsure, ask me at your next appointment. I always build your homecare around your hair goals, not just what’s trending

People always ask what it’s like working in a salon.
Sure, we do hair every day… but it’s the people you work with that make the biggest difference.

Today we swapped the salon for a resin class, had a laugh, got a little creative, and made some memories together. Days like this remind you how important it is to make time for your team!

10/10 experience and I highly recommend it!! I could have done this all day! 🤍💕

✨ Session one complete.

Going blonde isn’t about getting there as fast as possible—it’s about getting there with healthy hair.

Using K.LAKMÉ K2.0 Recover and Olaplex throughout the service allowed us to achieve incredible lift while protecting the hair every step of the way.

This is why I trust the process. 🤍

A year of blonding…
One holiday…
One box dye…

And just like that, we were back to square one. 😂

Thankfully hair journeys aren’t always about perfection & lucky I love her.

Today’s appointment was all about restoring shine, removing tired ends and giving her hair some much needed love with the new Olaplex 3+ treatment.

The blonde journey may be on pause, but the healthy hair journey is back on. ✨
