I’ve just ordered a range of skin boosters to use with my microneedling treatments 🥰

These little ampoules are packed with different skin-loving ingredients, so I can choose a booster depending on what your skin needs.

💧 Hydration & plumping – hyaluronic acid helps draw moisture into the skin, leaving it feeling hydrated, soft and plump.

✨ Brightening – boosters designed to help with dull, tired-looking and uneven skin, giving it a fresher glow.

🤍 Skin repair & rejuvenation – ingredients that support the skin and help improve its overall look and feel.

🌿 Smoother texture – paired with microneedling, they can help improve rough texture, fine lines and the appearance of pores and acne scarring.

Microneedling itself stimulates your own collagen and elastin, so adding a booster gives us another way to tailor the treatment to your skin.

IPL + Microneedling

These two treatments work so well together and I’m really excited to now have both! 🥰

IPL is amazing for targeting things like pigmentation, sun damage, redness and uneven skin tone.

Then we have microneedling, which is all about getting that collagen going and working on things like skin texture, fine lines, pores and acne scarring.

Basically… IPL works on colour and clarity, while microneedling works on texture and collagen

They’re not treatments I’ll do at the same time — your skin needs time to do its thing and heal in between — but alternating the two can give your skin a bit of everything.

I’ve loved what I’ve been able to achieve with IPL, so I’m pretty excited to add microneedling into the mix too!

I’ve been trying to work out how long I’ve had Rosactive at Gem’s and I think it’s been about 8 years now ❤️

I can honestly say I wouldn’t be where I am today without Chris.

I’ll always be grateful for his kindness, his help, all the phone calls over the years and the advice he gave me whenever I needed it. He was always there to answer a question, help me out or point me in the right direction.

Chris and Rosactive have been such a big part of my business for so many years and I’m just so grateful our paths crossed. This news has been a huge shock to everyone. We are all just trying to process.

My thoughts are with his family and everyone who loved him ❤️

Some of my clients have been waiting for me to get onto this one for a while now 😂

My microneedling pen has literally been sitting in my office for AGES, and I’ve finally got myself sorted, got everything I need and she’s charged up and ready to go!

I’m so excited to start offering microneedling. It ties in so well with the IPL treatments I already do and gives me another awesome way to work on skin — texture, acne scarring, fine lines, pores and overall skin rejuvenation 😍

I’m still learning and getting plenty of practice under my belt, so for September & October I’ll be offering microneedling at a special introductory price while I get stuck into it.

I’m so impressed with IPL on my Underarms!!!

I’ve only had ONE treatment and I’ve already noticed I’m hardly needing to shave! Normally I would’ve shaved a few times by now and I just… haven’t!!

Coming into summer — less shaving and not having to think about my underarms all the time 🙌 winning!!

Still a few treatments to go obviously, but after just one I’m pretty impressed.

Why can pigment come back after IPL?

IPL can give AMAZING results on pigmentation, but unfortunately it doesn’t make your skin immune to developing pigment again.

IPL targets and breaks down the pigment that’s already there — but your skin can continue producing new pigment afterwards.

Things that can bring pigment back include:
✨ Sun exposure
✨ Hormonal changes
✨ Ageing
✨ Not wearing SPF
✨ Your natural tendency to develop pigmentation

That’s why SPF every single day is so important after IPL!

Think of IPL as clearing away the damage we can see — while good skincare and sun protection help prevent new damage from appearing.

And for some people, an occasional maintenance treatment may be needed to keep that skin looking fresh and clear. 🤍
