A reel from a few years back, brought out of the archives. It only ever showed up on the desktop version of the site, so if you’ve only looked up Ilu Hub website on your phone, this one’s new to you.
I can’t take credit for it - it came out of a lovely collaboration with some seriously talented women, and the idea was to show what tailored treatments and skincare recommendations actually looked like in practice. Then the product side got busy, the treatment side went quiet, and the video gathered dust.
Plenty happened in the meantime. Courses, more study, new techniques, and a good deal of thinking about which direction actually brings me joy. Turns out the answer was skin. All of it.
The skincare side isn’t going anywhere - clean, natural, and formulated with real scientific knowledge behind them. That’s how Ilu Hub started and that’s how it stays.
But the facials are where my heart is. Skin focused, designed to relax, and the part of the week I look forward to most. There’s something quietly brilliant about seeing skin settle and change over a series of treatments - a face that arrives tight and reactive, and slowly becomes calmer, more comfortable, more itself. That’s the work I want to be doing.
Because skin does so much for us and gets very little credit for it. It’s a multifunctional organ responding to almost everything we do, eat, feel and worry about, and mostly we only notice it when something goes wrong.
And then, slightly to my surprise, I discovered I want to write about it as well. Most of it starts in the treatment room - conversations about skin, products, stress, what’s actually going on underneath. That’s where the good questions come from - putting skin into perspective and passing on what’s worth knowing.
So yes, Ilu Hub is on Substack now.
Grateful for every lesson, every bit of experience, and everyone who’s been part of it along the way. They’re building whatever comes next.
