Lovely review from a lovely client who’s been training with me for nearly a year and works so hard. 💪🏼🥰

Not my usual accessory…I managed to tear my meniscus nearly 3 weeks ago. 😞
Rehab and recovery on the agenda for the next few weeks. I’ve been really struggling with not being able to dance or run like I normally would! But I have to take my own advice and focus on the things I can control rather than what I can’t.
It could’ve been worse (no surgery!!!) and I just have to be patient.
Setbacks are all part of the process, and we shouldn’t take our able bodies for granted!

If you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you’ve always got…so in order to make progress, you really do have to step outside your comfort zone.
This is true in all areas of life-your health and fitness, your personal relationships, your career… and it all comes down to your attitude!
Your mind really is a powerful tool! 🧠💪🏼

Winding down for 2023 in paradise. ☀️
A massive thank you to all my clients and followers here for the support this year, it means a lot! I have some of the most amazing clients who have put in some really hard work this year, and I’m so proud of them all.
Looking forward to hitting the ground running in 2024!

I’ve gone and done something crazy… registered for my first marathon! Queenstown November 2024.
I’ve done a half marathon before, but this is a whole new ball game. I’ve really come to love running, and want to see what I’m capable of. My heart, lungs and legs will be put to the ultimate test.
This is your sign to not to put limits on yourself. There’ve been time when people have put limits on me for various reasons (usually my size 🙄🙃) but I’m done with doing that to myself. 2024 is the year I push the limits. 🏃♀️✅

So here’s some what I ate while I was away… not exactly foods you should be eating every day. But that’s the point-I don’t eat like this every day. Especially not now that I’m back home and back into routine. I did eat fruit and veg while I was away, promise! But I was in new environments constantly, which makes it harder to control when and what you eat, and the sweet stuff was far too enticing to resist. And that’s ok. I would’ve regretted not trying all of these foods, and I was walking 30’000 steps some days! My point is to let yourself enjoy food without feeling guilty! You can have the ramen for lunch and then the chicken and veggies for dinner. You can find that balance, and build a healthy relationship with food that doesn’t involve restriction. Food is not good or bad, it is simply fuel! 😋

A wee bit of an update from me as I’m aware that some of you don’t follow my personal Insta account. I’m currently almost 3 weeks into a 6 1/2 week trip around Singapore, Europe and Japan!
I’m having a ball, but to say I’m missing my training is an understatement! I had 2 nights in Singapore and a week in London by myself, and managed lots of steps and a few runs, which was good, but for the past week I’ve been on a contiki bus tour. This has meant long days sitting on the bus, late nights and a bit more alcohol than I’d usually have. However, the days we’re not on the bus the step count is high. As far as food goes, I’ve been doing my best to get enough fruit and veg while also sampling the local cuisines.
I’m missing my clients lots, but this is a much needed break after a bit of a hectic year starting a business while working another job. I’ll be back on kiwi soil on November 16th, so i look forward to seeing my lovely clients the following week and getting back into it!

When was the last time your bare feet actually touched the ground? Our feet spend so much time in socks and shoes that we become accustomed to it, even though it’s not our natural state. Grounding is something I need to do more of and you should too! It lowers cortisol levels, reduces inflammation, improves blood flow more.
So get those toes out and feel the earth beneath your feet! Your body and mind will thank you. 👣

In the health and fitness industry, you see a lot of before and after transformations in short time frames, crazy fitness challenges, and morning routines that take 2 hours to do. None of this is realistic or a true representation of everyday life.
I am as authentic as they come. I don’t set unrealistic expectations for my clients (or myself for that matter), I don’t expect them to make drastic changes that aren’t sustainable, and I recognise that sometimes life gets in the way and things change!
Having a coach that is authentic and helps you set realistic goals can make all the difference in your journey. 🙌🏻

Do you know how to regulate your nervous system?
We need some level of stress in our lives- it’s what wakes us up in the morning, and keeps us alert.
However, many of us live in fight or flight and struggle to switch off, which isn’t healthy either.
Learning how to regulate this is key to our overall health, and without addressing this, you won’t see the same results from your training. Swipe to read more about how to do this, and share of this was helpful!

This is my beautiful mum and I in the Ho**er Valley last year. What I love about training women in the comfort of their own homes is that their daughters can join in too! Over the past year and a half, all of my clients who have daughters have had them watch or join a session, which is such great modelling. I’m lucky I have a strong, fit, role model, and my clients are being amazing role models for their daughters too! Empowered women empower other women, especially the next generation. 💪🏼

When was the last time you did something for the first time?
Recently, I rock climbed for the first time in over 10 years! It felt really good to do something different, and practice my grip strength! As adults, we get so caught up in our routines that we don’t give ourselves opportunities to try new things, so I challenge you to do something new. Download Duolingo and learn some phrases in a different language, go to a new exercise class, explore a different neighbourhood of your city/town, and break your routine every now and again. You might actually enjoy it!
