// SKINCARE // I try wherever possible to use products that are natural and toxin free, especially when it comes to what I put on my skin. Our skin is our biggest organ and everything that goes on it gets absorbed into your body. My belief is that it’s better for us to absorb fewer toxins.
When I first started using more natural products it was really hard to find anything in mainstream shops. I had to either find a specialist shop or order online. However things have moved on. I went into today to see if I could get a new daytime moisturiser and was really happy to find I had the choice of several. I ended up buying this one by . It’s free from SLS, SLES, SULPHATES, SYNTHETIC FRAGRANCES, MINERAL OILS, ALCOHOL, PARABENS AND A FEW OTHER NASTIES.

// GRATITUDE // last week I received my new gratitude journal from . I haven’t kept any sort of written journal or diary since I was 16 years old (a long time ago!!). At this point in my life I have an awful lot going on, and as a result my head is bursting and I am often feeling a little overwhelmed and a bit anxious. I am hoping that by writing things down on paper I will free up some headspace and feel calmer.
Who else keeps a journal? 💙

// CLOSED // three years ago while recovering from breast cancer surgery I had a vision to launch Buff & Polish Natural Body Scrubs. The business served several purposes. Firstly to provide a platform to share information about living a less toxic lifestyle. Secondly and selfishly it gave me something to focus all my energy on while fighting cancer. I have been a one man band from day one, doing pretty much everything myself whilst drawing support from family, friends, and a whole bunch of fabulous girl bosses I’ve met and made friends with along the way.
So, a new exciting chapter is on my horizon. My husband has accepted a job in New Zealand and we will be heading over there for the next few years. So with that I have made the decision to close Buff & Polish. However it’s not the end. I intend to evolve somehow so I can continue sharing my passions. I am not 100% sure how I will do this yet but I have some ideas brewing. You’ll see a broader range of the things I love and want to talk about.
Meanwhile, a huge and heartfelt thanks to everyone I have met along the way. Everyone who has purchased. Everyone who has supported me. Everyone who has given me invaluable advice. I’m excited about this next life chapter and the new adventure it brings 💙💙💙💙

|| JET SPA || a few weeks ago I enjoyed my first ever jet spa treatment at . I absolutely loved it. An hour of being sprayed, jet blasted, massage and all while having a gorgeous face mask on. My therapist Sue made sure I was comfortable and never left me alone for to long. The whole treatment was super relaxing and I felt great afterwards. also has three float pods, an infra red sauna and beauty rooms. I also have massage here with Jess and it’s probably the best massage I’ve ever had. Located in Clarkson. Top tip....Wednesday is half price float day 💙
