Our Myofascial Cupping technique in action.
Negatively pressurised cups gliding across the skin, lifting and separating soft tissue. This increases blood supply to the area and provides a gentle stretch through the underlying fascia. Pressure stays comfortable throughout.
Particularly effective for maintaining range of motion, releasing myofascial trigger points, and reducing the fascial adhesions that build up from repetitive movement, whether that's sport or time at a desk.

Stress doesn’t just live in your head.
It shows up as tension in your shoulders, jaw, and neck. It affects your sleep, breathing, and subsequently your energy levels.
Sometimes the first sign you need a break is when your body asks for one.
For relieving stress and tension, nothing beats a massage. Thai, Remedial, Deep Tissue, Acupressure, or simply relaxing.
All available at www.bodymechanics.kiwi.nz

Chinese Acupressure Massage is different to deep tissue or remedial work. Where those treatments focus on the muscle, while acupressure targets specific pressure points along the body's meridian pathways, the channels that influence how pain, tension, and energy move through your system.
When those pathways are blocked or out of balance, you feel it. Stiffness and pain that keep returning to the same spots, tension that never fully clears. Acupressure works to address the source rather than manage the symptoms.
Bijay, our resident acupressure therapist, holds a Diploma in Tui Na Chinese Clinical Massage and brings a background in Traditional Chinese Medicine to his practice at Body Mechanics. His approach is precise, methodical, and grounded in clinical knowledge.
If you've been working through something that hasn't fully resolved, it might be worth trying a different approach.
