About us

AFFCO Land Meat is located in Wanganui and specializes in supplying the New Zealand Market. The original plant was built in 1897 and has undergone extensive renovation recently to maintain its position as a large supplier to the New Zealand domestic market and to increase its export markets. Land Meat process bovine and porcine 52 weeks a year and with the close proximity of AFFCO Imlay for the supply of any ovine requirements Land Meat have the complete offering for the major national supermarket and butchery chains as well as independent butcheries.

Land Meat processes bovine and porcine from slaughter through to further processing into a wide range of retail cuts, gas flushed, chilled and frozen as well as offals and added value products.

Bovine renderable product is processed at AFFCO Imlay and beef hides are delivered daily to The Tasman Tanning site situated close by.
