Sometimes the magic is in working with the hair, not against it.

Using my Refined Blonde Method, I customised this colour to suit what her hair could realistically achieve, lifting the heaviness, softening the warmth, and creating a blonde that feels effortless, dimensional, and lived in.

Because great blonde isn’t just about going lighter…
it’s about creating the right blonde for the person sitting in the chair.

This was our first colour appointment together, but before she even sat in my chair we had a phone consultation. Her biggest concern? Her hair felt dull.

She had previously been a brighter blonde and felt like her hair had lost that spark, just flat, brassy and not very “blonde” anymore.

Before we touched a single foil, we needed to eliminate what could be happening outside of the salon.

Between our phone consult and appointment, I recommended she use the Malibu C Hard Water Wellness Kit to help prep her hair.

Because sometimes the problem isn’t the colour…
It’s the water you’re washing your hair in.

Hard water minerals can build up on the hair causing it to look:
• dull
• brassy
• flat
• harder to lift

Hair is often a process of elimination, and when I’m working with a new client I like to rule out everything that could be affecting the result.

Step one for this client: remove the buildup.

Babylights, controlled lift, and pockets of natural shadow create contrast and contrast is what actually makes a blonde look expensive.
