Oman has reached a beautiful milestone.

Omani frankincense has now been internationally registered as a Geographical Indication with WIPO, making it the first recognition of its kind in the Gulf region.

This means the world is officially recognizing what Oman has carried for generations: frankincense from Oman is deeply connected to our land, our heritage, and our reputation for quality.

A Geographical Indication protects products that come from a specific place and are known for special qualities linked to that origin.

For Oman, this is more than a certificate.

It is recognition of a treasure that has been part of our culture, trade, and identity for centuries.
