Community Driven Development
06/04/2026
Empowering communities start with knowledge, collaboration, and purpose. ♥️
The Community - Driven Development (CDD) approach takes center stage as we conduct the Philippine Community Resilience Projects (PCRP) Crash Course for our dedicated Area and Municipal Coordinating Teams. This initiative strengthens our commitment to building resilient, inclusive, and Empowered communities - one barangay at a time.
Together, we equip our frontliners with the tools, skills, and passion needed to turn challenges into opportunities and plans into impactful actions.
💡Stronger teams, Resilient communities, Sustainable futures.

ACT/MCT Conducts Technical Fiduciary Review on Procurement Documents in Six Barangays of Abuyog
Abuyog, Leyte — The Area Coordinating Team (ACT) and Municipal Coordinating Team (MCT) recently conducted a Technical Fiduciary Review on Procurement Documents involving six barangays in Abuyog. The activity brought together six ACT–Community Empowerment Facilitators (ACT-CEFs), each representing one barangay, to exchange and assess procurement documents.
The participating barangays included Burubud-an, San Isidro, Katipunan, Maitum, Buaya, and Sto.Nino. Each ACT-CEF presented their respective procurement documents, which were then reviewed collectively to ensure consistency, completeness, and compliance with prescribed procurement guidelines.
The document exchange served as a collaborative learning platform where participants were able to identify gaps, correct discrepancies, and harmonize documentation practices across the six barangays. Common procurement issues were discussed, including proper documentation, timelines, and adherence to fiduciary standards.
This activity was conducted for the purpose of strengthening the technical capacity of ACT/MCT members, promoting uniformity in procurement processes, reducing potential errors and audit findings, and ensuring that all procurement transactions are properly documented and compliant with program policies and government regulations.
Participants highlighted the value of peer review and knowledge sharing, emphasizing that the activity enhanced their understanding of procurement procedures and improved the quality of their documentation.
The ACT/MCT continues to uphold its commitment to transparency, accountability, and good governance, recognizing that effective procurement practices are essential to the successful implementation of community-driven development projects in the municipality.
