Day 2 strengthened the Summitโs momentum as stakeholders from government, academe, CSOs, and grassroots organizations came together to chart pathways for inclusive economic empowerment and climate resilience. Through collaborative breakout sessions and the World Cafรฉ, participants defined strategies, built networks, and shaped a shared roadmap toward gender-responsive, low-carbon, and SSE-driven solutions.

Formally registered in 2012 after training from NGO SIBAT, the cooperative started small but grew steadily despite early challenges. Today, it brings together 40 membersโ20 women and 20 menโfrom four barangays in Capas, fostering sustainable agriculture, community cooperation, and resilience even through the pandemic.

Led by a diverse board of farmers, professionals, and community leaders, theyโve launched impactful initiatives like organic fertilizer production, Black Soldier Fly farming for natural feed, and waste-to-resource projects with barangays. With each memberโs expertise fueling innovation, the cooperative fosters food security, environmental care, and community engagementโshowing how solidarity can grow stronger harvests and stronger communities.

The K-4 Networkโs Butil ng Buhay, Bigasan ng Bayan (B-4) Project is a women-led social enterprise in Paraรฑaque that ensures affordable, high-quality rice for urban poor households while creating inclusive livelihood for women and the community. Through eco-friendly packaging, fair trade with smallholder farmers, and active member participation in governance and profit-sharing, the project promotes both food security and empowerment. Supported by the LGU, DOLE-PESO, and local leaders, it also champions climate-conscious practices like green logistics, waste reduction, and sustainability educationโproving that grassroots womenโs initiatives can drive economic growth, environmental action, and community resilience.

PATAMABAโWISE (Rizal) โ Founded in 1992 as PATAMABAโs Rizal chapter and launching WISE in 2006 as its economic arm, the group has become a key driver of local employment, income generation, and community development. Accredited by the Angono LGU since 1997, WISE has held influential roles in local and regional councils, co-chaired the Local Poverty Reduction Action Team since 2014, and engaged in national anti-poverty efforts through NAPC. Guided by democratic leadership, members act as โinvestors,โ actively participating in production, marketing, and management, ensuring shared ownership and decision-making in the organizationโs operations.

WEAVERS, Inc. โ Established in 2012 in Leyte, WEAVERS, Inc. empowers women artisans through heritage food production, eco-friendly crafts, and sustainable livelihoods. Partnering with local groups, it preserves traditions like roscas making, promotes upcycling, and ensures fair market access. The group integrates climate action by shifting producers to LPG, supporting peatland revegetation, and creating alternative livelihoods such as herbal soap and rug-making. Its work strengthens womenโs leadership, economic resilience, and environmental stewardship, with aspirations to expand markets, diversify products, and deepen cultural preservation.

Tagolwanen Women Weavers Association (TWWA), founded in 2012 by Lorielinda Bella Rago Marte and Datu Anilaw Inlantong, revived the dying Tagolwanen sodsod mat-weaving tradition in Mt. Kitanglad, Malaybalay. From a handful of weavers, it grew into a thriving women-led enterprise recognized as the townโs OTOP (One Town, One Product). Supported by local, national, and international partners, TWWA built a weaving heritage center and cultivates sodsod through communal farming. Profits are shared annually among members. The mats, rich in cultural symbolism and inspired by nature, have gained national and international recognition, fostering pride, environmental stewardship, and a new generation of award-winning weavers.

For the past two years, the Freedom from Debt Coalition (FDC) Cebu Womenโs Committee has backed Tingub Community and Urban Poor Homeowners Association, Inc. (TICUPHAI) in Mandaue City to create school bags, wallets, accessories, and sandals from recyclable materials. What began as a seasonal project supplying JPIC-run daycare centers has grownโpartnering with DAK AY Construction Company to produce eco-friendly window coverings and securing a โฑ350,000 grant from a foreign funder. This boost is transforming their once-limited venture into a sustainable, year-round income source for the community.

Born in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Tatalon Nanay Power (TNP) emerged when mothers in Barangay Tatalon, Quezon City, united to distribute food and medical relief after official support faltered. By 2023, they had formalized with 400 members and have since been recognized as the Barangayโs Best Womenโs Organization for three consecutive yearsโproof that solidarity can turn hardship into lasting community empowerment.
