DALAMHATI AT PASASALAMAT
Basahin: Job 1:13–22

DEUTERONOMY 7
Chosen in Love
SCRIPTURE READING
The LORD did not set his affection on you and choose you because you were more numerous than other peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples.DEUTERONOMY 7:7-11
OBSERVATION
Throughout the Old Testament, God had to remind Israel that he didn’t choose them because they were great or strong. In fact, they were the very least among the world’s peoples. They were chosen simply because of God’s love.
Our world is bent on accomplishment, obtaining, and possessing. Pausing regularly from our work helps to remind us that our worth is not found in our productivity. Keeping Sabbath teaches us that our ultimate worth is not found in what we can amass or accomplish in life.
APPLCATION
Christians don’t belong to Jesus because they outperformed others or because they got an “A” in discipleship. If you’re a believer, you know you belong to Jesus because God loves you so much that he sent his Son, Jesus, to die for you, paying the price of your sin. You don’t belong to Jesus because he loves what you have accomplished or achieved; you belong to him because of God’s loving grace.
There is no greater reminder of this remarkable truth than receiving God’s invitation to Sabbath rest. God invites us to pause from work because we too easily begin to equate our worth with what we’ve done. We can afford to pause because we no longer have to prove ourselves. We’re loved!
PRAYER
Dear God, thank you that we don’t need to earn our way into your kingdom. You welcome us simply on account of Jesus’ death and resurrection for our sake. Thank you that he has completed all the work necessary! Amen.

FEAR GOD
SCRIPTURE READING
“Fear the Lord your God, serve him only. . . .”
DEUTERONOMY 6:13-19
OOBSERVATION
Fear can be caused by many things. It can come from not knowing or understanding something. It can come when we face danger. It can come when we discover something more powerful than we are—or something that we imagine is more powerful.
God knew his people would face many fears as they entered a new land. They would encounter things they didn’t understand, and they would face powerful enemies. They were literally walking into the unknown.
God also knew that the fear of something powerful could lead people to veneration and worship as well. And that was one thing God would not allow. He didn’t want his people to worship other gods, or idols, or the sun or moon, or riches, or anything else. None of those things could bless his people with full life. Only God could do that. So he called them to fear, worship, and serve him only.
APPLICATION
In our world today, we might think that sounds rather silly. After all, we don’t worship other gods like the people of other nations did back then. But we need to be careful. There are many things in our lives that we treat with awe and devotion. There are many things we can love or fear instead of God. But God wants us to fear and love only him. His power and glory are beyond anything we can imagine. Watch out for things in your life that can distract you and keep you from serving God.
PRAYER
Lord and God, help us to fear you alone and to serve you alone. Help us to love you with everything we have. Amen.

DEUTERONOMY 4
The Ever-Merciful God Never Abandons His People
SCRIPTURE
1 Now, Israel, hear the decrees and laws I am about to teach you. Follow them so that you may live and may go in and take possession of the land the Lord, the God of your ancestors, is giving you.
27 The Lord will scatter you among the peoples, and only a few of you will survive among the nations to which the Lord will drive you.
28 There you will worship man-made gods of wood and stone, which cannot see or hear or eat or smell.
29 But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul.
30 When you are in distress and all these things have happened to you, then in later days you will return to the Lord your God and obey Him.
31 For the Lord your God is a merciful God; he will not abandon or destroy you or forget the covenant with your ancestors, which he confirmed to them by oath.
OBSERVATION
The whole chapter emphasizes obedience to God's law, the rejection of idolatry, the uniqueness of God's relationship with Israel, and the consequences of faithfulness versus disobedience.
APPLICATION
We can truly say, ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD TO THOSE WHO LOVE GOD AND WHO WERE CALLED ACCORDING TO HIS PURPOSE. God sometimes may allow negative circumstances in our lives. We may become unfaithful to Him and might drift away from our faith. But the Good News is: GOD WILL MAKE A WAY for us to seek Him, to humble down before Him, and surely, He will forgive us through His loving mercy and will not turn His back from us… He will never leave us nor abandon us.
PRAYER:
Thank You our Dear God, for Your mercy endures forever. Thank You for Your Lovingkindness, they are indeed new every morning, Great is Thy Faithfulness. Thank You for holding us in your hands. Thank You for keeping us strong and for protecting us. Though at times we fail you, thanks for You never ever fail us. Thank You
God for saving us… We are forever grateful to You. We love You Lord, in Jesus’ name, Amen
DECLARATIONS:
We declare that Jesus Is Lord over the life (the name of every family member).

DEUTERONOMY 3
The Ever-Faithful God Gives Victory to His People
SCRIPTURE
1 Next we turned and went up along the road toward Bashan, and Og king of Bashan with his whole army marched out to meet us in battle at Edrei.
2 The Lord said to me, “Do not be afraid of him, for I have delivered him into your hands, along with his whole army and his land. Do to him what you did to Sihon king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon.
3 So the Lord our God also gave into our hands Og king of Bashan and all his army. We struck them down, leaving no survivors.
4 At that time we took all his cities. There was not one of the sixty cities that we did not take from them-the whole region of Argob, Og’s kingdom in Bashan.
5 All these cities were fortified with high walls and with gates and bars, and there were also a great many unwalled villages.
6 We completely destroyed them, as we had done with Sihon king of Heshbon, destroying every city—men, women, and children.
OBSERVATION
When the time of the fulfillment of God’s promises has come to fruition, it is exactly the time… to harvest. To have victory. Though Israel went around for forty years in the wilderness, when God permitted them to enter the Promised Land, God has to do everything to make His people victorious. He will destroy whoever will go against His will and against His people. He will even go with His people and help them conquer and never allow His people to be defeated. God is really Faithful.
APPLICATION
As I was reading this chapter, I remember the Project Macedonia Strategy that Rev. Domeng Rivera mentioned in SLOP Meeting. It is all about Conquering 10% of the community every year for 5 years, making it 50% of the community to be brought to the Lord and their lives be transformed.
In the verses above, they conquered all the 60 cities under King Og of Bashan. Though, the context is destroying completely the cities and all men, women, and children (v4; 6)… this is because God is giving the Promised Land and He did not want His people to co-inhabit the enemies. Likewise, God will do the same in our days. He will help us conquer the land and the people for Christ. All we have to do is listen to God (v.2 “Do not be afraid…) and follow His commands like in Matthew 28:19, “Go and make disciples of all nations.”. Not some but ALL…
PRAYER:
Father God in Heaven, we believe it is Your Kairos time to redeem and conquer the whole world and all the peoples before the Lord Jesus Christ comes back again. Help us to do our part in winning people and places. Let signs, wonders, and miracles accompany our sharing of the Word. Allow victory and Your presence to be felt and experienced by the people, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
DECLARATIONS:
We declare that Jesus Is Lord over the life (the name of every family member).
We declare that the blood of Jesus covers (the name of every family member).

SA PUSO NAGMUMULA
Basahin: Mateo 15:12–20
(Mateo 15:19)

DEUTERONOMY 1
The Covenant Keeping God fights for His people
SCRIPTURE
29 Then I said to you, ‘Do not be shocked, nor fear them.
30 The Lord your God who goes before you will fight for you Himself, just as He did for you in Egypt before your [very] eyes,
31 and in the wilderness where you saw how the Lord your God carried and protected you, just as a man carries his son, all along the way which you traveled until you arrived at this place.’
OBSERVATION
Highlights of Chapter 1 - The themes of obedience, trust in God, leadership, and the consequences of disobedience
1. Moses’ Address to Israel (1:1-5)
2. God’s Command to Leave Horeb (1:6-8)
3. Appointment of Leaders (1:9-18)
4. Israel’s Failure to Enter the Promised Land (1:19-33)
5. God’s Punishment (1:34-40)
6. Israel’s Defeat When Acting in Presumption (1:41-46)
APPLICATION
If we will carefully take heed and follow God’s commandments or statutes, surely, we will be blessed, protected and God would fight and carry us in all our battles and struggles in life.
PRAYER:
God our Father, the Covenant Keeping God, our Protector and Shield, the One who fights for us, we pray that you make us dependent, reliant and obedient to you. Cause us to always listen to you so that all our struggles will not be prolonged. Help us to not depend on our own capacities but to put you first and rely only to you. Thank You Lord because by doing so, we believe we will have victories over our enemies and our weakness. Help us Father in Jesus’ name, Amen.
DECLARATIONS:
We declare that Jesus Is Lord over the life (the name of every family member).
We declare that the blood of Jesus covers (the name of every family member).

Numbers 34:2
Scripture Reading:
“Command the Israelites and say to them: ‘When you enter Canaan, the land that will be allotted to you as an inheritance is to have these boundaries:”
OBSERVATION:
The Lord made sure that each and every tribe will receive their own inheritance and territory from the Lord. “The Lord said to Moses, “These are the names of the men who are to assign the land for you as an inheritance: Eleazar the priest and Joshua son of Nun. And appoint one leader from each tribe to help assign the land.” No one will be left out, each tribe and each family will receive their place in the Promised Land.
APPLICATION:
God is the God Who fulfills His promises to His people. After 400 years of slavery and 40 years in the wilderness, here they are seeing their Promised Land. God is the God of order. He gave specific instructions to Moses to assign Eleazar the priest and Joshua son of Nun together with their appointed tribe leaders to help assign the land. This will ensure that everybody will receive their place of inheritance.
PRAYER: Father God, thank You for Your guidance and the wisdom You are giving to our spiritual leaders. Please guide them as we enter our Promised Land individually and corporately. We believe that as we submit ourselves to You completely, we will be strong and courageous to conquer and possess the land. May Your glory be seen in the pillars of society. We pray for more territories and souls to be won for Your Name Lord Jesus. Amen and amen.

HINDI PA TAPOS ANG KUWENTO
Basahin: Mateo 6:9–13

Numbers 26 (NIV) “The Second Census”
Scripture Reading: (V63-65) “These are the ones counted by Moses and Eleazar the priest when they counted the Israelites on the plains of Moab by the Jordan across Jericho. Not one of them was among those counted by Moses and Aaron the priest when they counted the Israelites in the Desert of Sinai. For the LORD had told those Israelites they would surely die in the desert, and not one of them was left except Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun.”
OBSERVATION: This book of the Bible is called “Numbers” because of the 2 census done by Moses. The First Census happened when they were at the Desert of Sinai where the LORD gave the 10 Commandments. Only men ages 20 and above were counted. The Second Census occurred near the Jordan River, almost forty years after. Of the first batch, only Caleb and Joshua remained to be alive because all who were previously counted, died in the wilderness.
APPLICATION: The question will be, why did the first batch of the counted Israelites died in the wilderness?
1. Rebellion against God and Moses
2. Idolatry and sexual immorality
3. Murmurings and grumblings
4. Ingratitude
5. Unbelief
And why did God allow Caleb and Joshua to enter the Promised Land? Because of their unwavering faith and trust in the LORD, and their submission to Moses!
PRAYER: Just like Caleb and Joshua who have entered the Promised Land, we too, Oh Father, would want to enter our Promised Lands, especially to be with You for eternity. Forgive us from all forms of rebellion, idolatry, sexual immorality, pride, arrogance, murmurings, and ingratitude. Forgive us for doubting You and Your word. Help us to keep on trusting You and obeying Your word, walking with purity and holiness until the coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! In Jesus’ name. Amen!
DECLARATION: I declare that Jesus Is Lord over my family.
I declare that the Blood of Jesus covers my entire family.
In Jesus’ name. Amen!
