“𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐤𝐨𝐝 𝐚𝐭 𝐈𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐚 𝐍𝐠𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧 𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐫𝐮𝐠𝐚 𝐚𝐭 𝐏𝐚𝐠-𝐀𝐤𝐚𝐩”

On October 14, 2026, “𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐉𝐄𝐂𝐓 𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐀𝐏” came to life through a Joint Medical Mission, HIV Testing, and Bloodletting Activity for the community of Barangay Bagong Silang.

This meaningful initiative was made possible through the generous funding and support of 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝐁𝐚𝐠𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠, headed by Barangay Captain 𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐄𝐦𝐦𝐚 𝐀𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐚, and the Sangguniang Kabataan ng Bagong Silang, led by SK Chairman 𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐕𝐨𝐧 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐞𝐲 𝐒𝐞ñ𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐬, in collaboration with the 𝐁𝐚𝐠𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 – 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 and the 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬, 𝐈𝐧𝐜. (𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐏).

The project was conceptualized and proposed by the students of 𝐁𝐏𝐒𝐔 - 𝐒𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐎𝐋 𝐎𝐅 𝐌𝐈𝐃𝐈𝐖𝐅𝐄𝐑𝐘 students from 𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝟯 – 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝟳 and successfully implemented by 𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝟮 – 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝟰 as part of their Community Duty under the supervision of their Clinical Instructor, 𝗠𝗿. 𝗩𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗧. 𝗦𝗲ñ𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀.

Through the collective efforts of our partners, volunteers, and student midwives, the activity achieved:

🩺 Nearly 100 individuals received free medical checkups, vitamins, and medicines.
🩸 7 blood donors participated in the bloodletting activity, helping support the gift of life.
❤️ 30 individuals availed themselves of HIV testing, promoting awareness, prevention, and early detection.

Beyond these numbers are stories of service, compassion, and lives touched through accessible healthcare. Project LINGAP demonstrates how student-led initiatives, when supported by committed community leaders and healthcare partners, can transform plans into meaningful action.

In view of the prevailing weather conditions and the issued rainfall warning in the Province of Bataan, and with the safety and well-being of the entire BPSU community as a primary consideration, the University shall implement the following arrangements tomorrow, September 9, until Saturday, September 12, 2026:

-All classes (UNDERGRADUATE, COLLEGE OF MEDICINE, COLLEGE OF LAW, GRADUATE SCHOOL) On-the-Job Training (OJT), clinical duties, and hospital duties shall be conducted through synchronous online mode. Students who may experience difficulties in participating due to weather-related conditions may be excused, provided that they promptly inform their respective instructors.

-SCHEDULED ENROLLMENT FOR GRADUATE SCHOOL shall proceed with the concerned office to report onsite.

-University personnel shall continue reporting for onsite duty and maintain the regular provision of essential university services and operations.

The University will continue to closely monitor the prevailing weather conditions and remain guided by official announcements and advisories from concerned government authorities.

Should the National Government issue any succeeding directive concerning the suspension of classes or work, such directive shall take precedence over this University Advisory.

In view of the prevailing weather conditions in various areas of Bataan, please be advised of the following arrangements September 7-8, 2026 :

All classes shall shift to 𝐀𝐒𝐘𝐍𝐂𝐇𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐎𝐔𝐒 𝐎𝐍𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐄 learning effective 1:00 PM today until tomorrow.

All University offices shall shift to online transactions effective 2:30 PM today until tomorrow, with a skeletal onsite workforce to ensure the continuity of essential services.

The University continues to monitor the weather situation and official advisories. Any subsequent suspension or directive issued by the National Government shall supersede these arrangements.

Further announcements shall be issued through the official BPSU communication channels.
