"Leaders Don't Command" by Jorge Cuervo is a book that offers a fresh perspective on leadership, emphasizing the importance of collaboration, empathy, and empowerment over traditional command-and-control management styles.
Here are key lessons from the book
1. Leadership Through Influence: True leaders influence rather than command. They inspire their team members to take action and commit to goals through shared vision and mutual respect, rather than through orders or coercion.
2. Empowerment is Key: Empowering team members is crucial for fostering innovation and engagement. Leaders should trust their teams, delegate effectively, and provide the resources and support needed for individuals to take ownership of their work.
3. Build Relationships Based on Trust: Successful leadership is rooted in trust. Leaders must be transparent, consistent, and reliable to build strong relationships with their team members. Trust fosters an environment where open communication and feedback are valued.
4. Embrace Vulnerability: Leaders who are not afraid to show vulnerability can create stronger connections with their teams. Admitting mistakes, acknowledging limitations, and seeking input from others can demonstrate humility and openness, encouraging a similar attitude across the team.
5. Lead by Example: Actions speak louder than words. Leaders should model the behavior, work ethic, and values they expect from their team members. Leading by example is a powerful way to set standards and influence the organizational culture positively.
6. Encourage Continuous Learning: A culture of continuous learning and development benefits both the organization and its employees. Leaders should promote and facilitate opportunities for learning, whether through formal training, mentoring, or challenging assignments.
7. Value Diversity and Inclusivity: Recognizing and valuing diverse perspectives and backgrounds can lead to more innovative and effective problem-solving. Leaders should cultivate an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and included.
8. Focus on Communication: Effective communication is a cornerstone of effective leadership. Leaders must be adept at conveying ideas clearly and listening actively. This involves not only speaking and writing but also non-verbal communication and the ability to read others.
9. Adaptability: The ability to adapt to change and lead through uncertainty is increasingly important. Leaders should remain flexible, open to new ideas, and ready to pivot strategies as needed to navigate challenges and capitalize on opportunities.
10. Serve Others: The concept of servant leadership, where the leader's primary goal is to serve others, is emphasized. Leaders should focus on the growth and well-being of their team members and the communities to which they belong.
"Leaders Don't Command" offers a comprehensive guide to modern leadership, stressing the importance of empathy, empowerment, and a people-centered approach. By adopting these principles, leaders can inspire and motivate their teams more effectively, leading to higher satisfaction, better performance, and overall success for their organizations.

Kristen Butler's book, The Comfort Zone, challenges the conventional wisdom that we need to push ourselves outside of our comfort zone in order to grow and achieve our goals. Instead, she argues that our comfort zone is actually the source of our joy, creativity, and flow.
Butler defines the comfort zone as the range of activities, relationships, and environments in which we feel safe, comfortable, and in control. It's the place where we can be ourselves without judgment or fear. When we're in our comfort zone, we're able to focus on our strengths, learn new things, and grow.
Butler argues that it's important to expand our comfort zone over time, but not by pushing ourselves too hard or too fast. Instead, she recommends taking small steps outside of our comfort zone at our own pace.
Here are 10 key lessons from The Comfort Zone:
1. Your comfort zone is not the danger zone. It's a place of safety and security.
2. Growth happens within the comfort zone, not outside of it. When we're in our comfort zone, we're able to focus on our strengths and learn new things.
3. Pushing yourself too hard can lead to burnout and stress. It's important to expand your comfort zone at your own pace.
4. Listen to your intuition. Your intuition is your inner guide. It will tell you when you're ready to step outside of your comfort zone.
5. Start small. Don't try to change everything at once. Start by taking small steps outside of your comfort zone, such as trying a new food or talking to a stranger.
6. Celebrate your successes. When you step outside of your comfort zone, take the time to celebrate your successes. This will help you build confidence and momentum.
7. Be patient. It takes time to expand your comfort zone. Don't get discouraged if you don't see results immediately.
8. Find a support system. Surround yourself with people who support you and encourage you to grow.
9. Be forgiving of yourself. Everyone makes mistakes. If you slip up and step back into your comfort zone, don't beat yourself up about it. Just pick yourself up and start again.
10. Enjoy the journey. Expanding your comfort zone is a journey, not a destination. Enjoy the process of learning and growing.
How to create a life you really love with less stress and more flow
Butler offers a number of practical tips for creating a life you really love with less stress and more flow.
Here are a few key takeaways:
• Identify your values. What's important to you in life? Once you know your values, you can start to make choices that align with them.
• Set realistic goals. Don't set yourself up for failure by setting unrealistic goals. Start with small, achievable goals and work your way up to bigger goals over time.
• Delegate and outsource. Don't be afraid to delegate tasks or outsource them to others. This will free up your time so you can focus on the things that are most important to you.
• Take breaks. It's important to take breaks throughout the day, even if it's just for a few minutes. This will help you avoid burnout and recharge your batteries.
• Take care of yourself. Make sure you're getting enough sleep, eating healthy foods, and exercising regularly. This will help you feel your best and have more energy.
Butler believes that everyone deserves to live a life they love. By expanding our comfort zone and living in alignment with our values, we can create a life that is full of joy, creativity, and flow.

7 LESSONS FROM "JUST SHUT UP🤐 AND DO IT!"
By Brian Tracy
We are in an age were we are all experts in saying something by complaining and giving countless excuses but doing absolutely nothing to change our circumstance.
But in this book I learn that;
1. One of the hallmarks of fully functioning people is that they never complain, never explain i.e. they never make excuses or justify their behavior.
2. To be successful in all you do, Eliminate failure language from your vocabulary.
Refuse to say things like “I’ll try” or “I’ll do my best. These expressions are excuses for failure in advance.
3. You have to accept 100 percent responsibility for the person you are today.
Acceptance of responsibility is the great divide between winners and losers.
4. The only way to overcome your fear is to do it over and over again.
If you are afraid to stand before an audience to speak, then look for opportunities to speak regular. Continue to do it till what you fear "fears" you!
5. You learn to succeed by failing, or learning from the failing Experiences of others.
6. One of the things you can do to increase the probabilities of financial success is to cast a wide net.
Keep upgrading your knowledge and skills and gathering more information as if your future depends on it, because it does😉
7. When you decide to become a confident, competent, self-disciplined, and persistent person, and you practice and develop yourself every day, there are no limits to what you can be, have, and do in the coming months of 2023 and years ahead
Thank you for Reading.
