Spending time in the community has been a grounding and enriching experience. I’ve enjoyed connecting with the locals, sharing their stories, and immersing myself in their way of life. The simple joys of savoring saba and ginamos—cravings that truly hit the spot—made it even more special. Living simply, surrounded by warm people, reminded me of the beauty of going back to basics and embracing a slower, more meaningful pace of life.

The idea of going back to college in my 40s felt daunting, terrifying even. But knowing my family believes in me gives me the strength to face every challenge head-on. This journey has taught me that courage isn’t about being completely fearless—it’s about moving forward despite the fear, trusting that your purpose is greater than any obstacle in your path, and above all, remembering you are never truly alone. #GoForwardTogether
